  1. The Pezman: then let me give you all a rundown of how I'm doing this:

First, I have some kind of software that I burn to a Gameboy cart. This software allows me to manipulate the Gameboy sound engine in almost any way I want. Then I plug my gameboy from the headphones output into my MacBook Pro (for that real chirpy sound). Then I use audacity (I like open source) to record, for example, one hit of every drum in a drumkit. then I cut them out, save as .wav and import into an NNXT (since redrum has to few channels for the sets in this case) and start mapping them out.

When I'm going to do the actual bleeps (the pulse channels) I'm using the same method but for a sustained note, then I try to loop it in the nn-xt so you can sustain for ever ;P the sustained notes are probably not going to be multisampled since it makes a little to no difference to the sound.

The actual blips and bloops (non-sustained notes) are going to be multisampled, that means I'm sampling every semi-tone so that the sound won't change speed when I pitch it.

Then I send these sample packs around to my "associates" (yah.. V___ and Malcos right now) and we make some kick ass patches with the combinator and such. then I pack it into a ReFill with the ReFill-packer and send it out to you. Don't you just love it?

Anyways, there you have it. Thanks for showing interest!

I've been terribly busy lateley but I'm going to start sampling some more today. Some drumsamples are already at Malcos for touchn up :)

  2. I get your point but hackers and viruses would have it a lot harder without the users being punished for the OS tightening the security. Are you with me?

Well, after VISTA is released OSX will probably be the most used OS so.. XD naah, most will just update because their computer tells them to..

  3. being able to rightclick? Buy a mouse with two buttons and you're there ;P that's how easy it is XD

Merk: I agree that there is almost no games on mac ('cept blizzard games and civilization.. and that's good enough for me :D) but in all other compartments I find it superior.

"Arguably the reason OS X is so safe is no one bothers to attack it." you make it sound so bad.

No one bothers to attack it because it's so safe. OH NOES WE'RE STUCK IN A CIRCLE.

Btw, the interface kicks ass ;P

  4. Wonderful, adding security that will mess up everything you do. (you realize you can't even ReWire Reason without going through gazillions of configs do you?). I think it's scary how Vista will probably lead to extreme surveillance of the users. I think it's equally scary how it will lead to a big boost to pirated material since now pirated material is the only thing that will let you bypass the security that's going to hold you in a headlock otherwise. way to go :D

If security's that important get a mac already. OS X is the safest OS ever, and it works. enter reality :)

and btw, "nothing supports mac" is b-shit :) The only thing I know that doesnt work with mac that I suffer from is playing PSF2 files. and that's pretty much it, even DC++ is being sexily emulated by ShakesPeer. Go mac, you won't go back.

now I'm not a grumpy mac user, I use PC to.. I just hate it. XD
