  1. Im not usually one to request but.

Would somebody please listen to the Soundtrack

    http://snesmusic.org/v2/profile.php?profile=set&selected=1854

Some really lovely melodies, harmonies and choice of sounds i feel.

I think there could be quite a lot of scope with there being elements from rock, electronica, funk, jazz.

Some stand out tracks IMO are:

    Parking Block

    Best Room

    Boss 5

    City

    Skyscraper

    Written in Collaboration with

Hiroyuki Iwatsuki who wrote the music in Omega Five which is another stellar soundtrack.

If your a fan of the 16bit era you need to check this out, and if a mix comes out of it even better.

    Thanks for your time.

  2. Just went back in the thread and read Sirlins views on the game. Not doubting the guys ability to understand SF but it seems as if hes dogging on it a little because its not SSF2T. That makes me even more skeptical of him because he pretty much earned a living playing that game and heling out with the HD Remix.

  3. I love the music in this game. The inside a casino esque stage, the Old temple stage and Volcanic rim stages are my favourites.

Cant get enough of those songs. Even the training level music is kickass.

Im LOVING Gouken. Love the dash punch and parry moves. Dont know how good hed be online or vs someone who is really good at street fighter. But hes fun stuff my friend plays Akuma so its like a little rivalry going on.

  4. Good game ,awesome music.

combat is a little clunky. The time fram for disarming someone swinging a weapon at your face is too small and oddly placed.

(as the guns about to hit you? surely as they arc their arm backwards is a better time to stifle a swing?)

but one of the best games ive played in a long while.

sense of flow, control and awesome builing leapery is badass.

Capcom need to take note of this game. Then create Strider 3 and reference to this game alot. but make it faster and with more cutting and stuff...

    yeah

  5. is T. Yamanishi not doing the music for this one :(

aww man i hope one of those other names is an alias. guy makes such great songs. I can honestly say the music from 4 espescially the first few stages. Really influenced my taste in music. Infact that game influenced me as a gamer fullstop.

when i think 16bit era its images of that game and its music that flash into my head. blahblahblah ANYWAY....

    TOSHI FTW

  6. Haha, what, you mean the Canti figurine from FLCL? I found that marked down three times at Suncoast a few years ago, but of course all of the ones in my neck of the woods had to go out of business. They had some cool merchandise.

I never realised they even had merch for FLCL.

Telebe kun ftw tho.along with CHUUUUUUUU CHUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  7. These are pictures from my last apartment but I still have the same setup in my current one. Please excuse the crappy camera phone quality.

Not pictured are my original Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance SP, and DS.

There is just something about playing a game on it's original system that is just so much fun, and it brings back so many memories. A lot of people were raising the issue of having to rebuy all of their old games if they wanted to play them on the Wii, but that was never a problem with me because I still own most of my old games. I mean I never even use Slot 2 on my DS, when I want to play a Gameboy game I just pop it in my GBA SP instead. I've never liked PC emulators because it feels silly playing games on a keyboard, and the Wii Virtual Console is much better. The VC balances it out because you don't have to blow on carts or do any other tactics to try and get games to work, that and it has that instant save feature.

AAAH TELEBE KUN! I so want one of those.

I still have my MegaDrive with about 40 games.

    A Snes,PS1 ,Yellow Brick Gameboy

Dreamcast,PS2,Wii,Xbox360 are always hooked upto the TV. Played very often.

Megadrive often comes out when i need to play Thunder Force 4 or Some Gunstar Heroes.Cant wait until i move from this tiny room.

Ill just leave em all hooked up around the TV like i did at home.

  8. I think we had a a different version in England.

First it was CNX.A dedicated Channel to pretty badass stuff.

which used to show. Spawn. and The Sheild.

Big O,Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star. and some other stuff.

    Was quite full on.

Thne it cahnged to Toonami. they startyed showing more kid freindly stuff during the day. loadsa DBZ, S.Jack. Got rid of Spawn, Outlaw Star, Bebop etc. Then came One Piece, En Masse.

Wouldnt be surprised if nwo they're showing naruto all the time with his "BELEIVE IT!!!!" bollocks :/

Judging by Malaki-LEGEND.sys's post. you lot over the pond had a better deal!

  9. What part of "/troll on!" did you not understand? :<

It was another system that had poor timing and marketing against its competition. I've played Dreamcast games, they were nothing special.

It's just a video game system, get over it people!

It had lots of shmups. Shmups are special. therefore dreamcast special.

I didnt know about it being the consoles birthday. erm...happy birthday dreamcast i suppose?

For a birthday treat im gonna play the shit out of Zero Gunner2, followed by some MVC2 yay :<

  10. For me that would be

    Sonic 3& Knuckles:

Always as sonic. I really got into trying to speedrun the game. My times are nowhere near ideal. BUT its so fun and Satisfying flying through levels at high speed timing jumps from ramps so that you launch at the highest speed achievable in the game.

Just a great test of memory and reflex set to some really great tunes with nice backgrounds.

    Megaman X/X2/X4:

    Charge,dash,jump fire,charge,dash,jump,wallkick,fire.

Ive probably played those games through about a 1000 times?

I went through a period (esp wiht sonic) where instead of going to sleep id quickly have a whizz through.

    To add.

    Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3:

Big fan of those 2 games. sometimes i just realise how great they are when i get cravings, 3D platforming done right IMO.

    Gradius V:

I simply cannot get enough of this game. Ill sit and playthrough it 3 times in a row every night in a week. (only get to about stage 3 in loop2 then start over).

Currently trying out different formation types.Type 2 is my default but im finding 3 quite brutish.

Just typing that out is making me want to play all of those right now at the same time

    :goes to get a fix:

  11. Omega Five and any of its arranged versions.

    Metal Slug 2 and 3

    Gradius 5

Eternal Sonata has some nice songs in there too.

    Kirbys Dreamland 3 and Superstar.

Super Smash Bros Brawl. ( really large amount of songs from a broad selection of games in many genres. Bound to be something recognisable to most people listening, and if not they just plain rock)

Sonic1~Adventure, include Sonic Rush (1st one, second was gash music wise)

    Deus Ex

    Marvel Vs Capcom 2

Other than that things in Coops list cos he mentioned Thunder Force 4,Castlevania: Bloodlines and Shinobi 3. So the rest is bound to be good.
