  1. That settles it then. EMU Xboard 61 it is heh. Thanks for the responses. *prepares to shell out $250 next week*
  2. So, what is it exactly you're trying to achieve with the bassline? Posting a link to a sound clip might help identify the problem as well. Sounds to me like you've set an automation to the volume knob on the bassline by accident. Maybe you were trying to set it to pan left/right and back, but used it on the volume knob instead of panning? Anyways, check your patterns, and the event editor for the volume on that track. (Two knobs on left side of the track, left knob is panning, right knob is volume) right click on the knob to bring up a menu, and choose the event editor. See if there's something going on with that. Kinda sounds like you set some kinda oscillation on the volume by accident maybe? Pretty much any knob or control in fruity has some kinda event or automation possible, but if it's fading in/out volume wise, the volume knob is a good place to check. It could be some other effect or plugin could be causing the problem as well, depending on what you're using, but when wierd crap happens, the event editor is usually a good place to start looking. Also, use the forum search, and take a look at the Fruityloops 101 thread if you haven't already. Chances are the problem may have been covered there. (although searching through 100+ pages can be a bit daunting *cough*) Others on the forums can probably give a more in depth response. Just trying to help. Good luck.
  3. Well, my old Yamaha PSR-520 (older 61key synth) is dying on me. (after 10 years of faithful service) And I get a nice paycheque next week, so I'll have enough windfall to grab a new keyboard. I don't want to spend much over 200 clams, so I was thinking either the Korg K61, or possibly an Xboard 61 at the upper limit (which I froogled, and found for $249 as an extreme upper limit). Nothing uber-fancy. Thing is, the K61 apparently comes with a softsynth which I remember reading includes VST w/ midi support: an M1 LE package. Anyhoo, I'm leaning toward the K61. I hear the Xboard 61 has some good keyboard feeling though. And the Xboard has key aftertouch, but not sure how the K61 compares.(not that I need aftertouch, but it'd be a nice bonus) So, anyone used either of these keyboards yet? Are they even on the market yet? Think they're relatively new *ponder* Comments and opinions would be appreciated.
  4. somehow i'm not surrpised heh. *grumbles and starts saving his pennies* I kinda want to use a boy's choir in the middle of the SotN chapel mix i'm working on. It's not absolutely necessary though, and I can always update it later on. Mebbe I'll get lucky. Or mebbe I'll try and save for that Giovanni Edition after I get my monitors. It looked interesting.
  5. Hmmm, idea hit me recently, and I've been hunting around for a "decent" boy's or children's choir. (think Greenbird from Cowboy Bebop) I know there's a few out good ones out there that involve money, but I'm more on the side of "amateur lookin for free soundfonts" I have a couple that are "okayish" for about an octave or so, but outside that, it's pretty obvious the sample changes. Just wondering if there's something a little better, or more uniform out there. Mebbe I just need to take a closer look at sf2midi -.- thanks in advance -Vay
