  1. The intro is abit messy, and just doesnt sound right in my ear.

when the beat first came in I thought it sounded really cheap, but once it breaks and the hithats and snares accompany it things get much better, from there on its a sweet track.. maybe some warm strings or pads to get more of the original score through the main groove.

overall its heading towards Blinds trance mixes, keep it up

  2. most games these days lack either style or a tune, oke orchestral music is beautifull but it fails when it lacks a catchy tune that is repeated over the course of the game in different styles and speeds.

like Assassins creed had no memoralbe tune but Jesper Kyd mixed Electronica sounds perfectly with Orchestra and a Arabian/Saracen Twist.

  3. I agree with what Robotaki said, the ambient dark atmos yo have in the beginning is sweet and the transistion towards Dance is really nice.

the break-up gives me a fresh ear to listen to it again,,

although im not fond off the style... you did a good job at remixing this

ps: Robotaki why dont you laid down some Quick grooves for him ;)

  4. nice work, I like the concept of the vocals with the piano , but the track seems incomplete needs some more Symphonic elements maybe strings maybe add some vocal Symh elements, maybe a slow jazzy drumgroove would do it fine.,, well I dont know what style you'd like but thats what I would love to hear on this track

ps: im gonna add you on lastFM later dude,, oke?

  5. I reworked it alot, making it alot more solid, and reworked the new groove and pitch in at the end, but im pretty much stuck I got some nice ideas and scapes created but I lack a solid flow something to keep the song carring on... I was thinking something along the lines of DragonAvengers Summoners LOve

anyways this is waht I got

  6. dude sweet groove, and nice work on the quick sampling, im gonna try to override that groove into my project, Im experimenting with a different pitch and groove but ill probaly return to my previous one.

as for the software, unlike you I use Fruityloops, there was a time I used Reason allot more and I love the Composing freedom in reason, but now im using FL for the Mixing tools, VSTi's and Eyecandy.

The pads are from Vanilla FL Organ Sytrus and Nebula (tweaked) and a Hypersonic mixed soundscape.

  7. Your strings/orchestral-type stuff is pretty flat, though. Every note hits with the same velocity. I'm having a difficult time hearing the source tune in there, but it's pretty subtle in the original as well. I'm probably just missing it.

Im gonna be working on that later tonight, but I have been having problems with Strings and so, maybe its the patches maybe the way I work with them...

And I myself have a problem hearing the scource tune aswell, The score is mostly from midi, but even the midi didnt seem quite the same as the original.

Im gonna be working on it some more tonight and tomorrow, anyways I know what you want me to do with the Percussion, but I uploaded the MP3 anyway, can't pass up a chance to see you use yor magic ;) and thx TheDemonKing

  8. Oke so I started up a Remix of the FFX track Wandering flame, im sort of going for an ambient/electronica Hiphop beatbreak track.

and so I WIPed up this track, its pretty much still an OVERRIDE, but im just trying to get a concept going. get some ideas, I was thinking maybe something along the lines of Tweeks Frozenlandscape or Snowfall on forbidden fields by Sephfire and Ceili.

anyways I have gotten this beginnen but I am still lacking the Wandering Flame warmy thinkness from the original track, and any help on that would be appriciated, also any ideas on arrangement

I know its still rough, I just started it

  9. Somehow I missed this track, but after doing some random searches I found it and downloaded it and.... im happy.

The besaid theme kicks in right away and even though at many times the original score hides in warm watery pool that is this track the style and warm vibes still keep you in the Besaid mood.

The vocal caught me off gaurd and seemed out of place the first sentence but as soon as those warm strings accompanied the vocals it easly turned into OCR's top finest

definitely a track that makes you reminisce the good old times we had defeating Sin.

  10. Dude im loving this track, it started very mediocre , but turned out great , you really devided the original score over the entire lenght. the samples where chosen nicely but felt very generic, mostly because they were the same genre, maybe mix in some orchestral, or harderleads, maybe some natural instruments.

the beat was very dry, which didnt bother me at first but turned out very borning over the length of the track,, also some more variation and breaks.

maybe a non-beat middle part, just to give the listner some rest and then build-up and pump right into it again, it will prevent the boringness that I still feel with this track.

anyways in my book, this track should be OC-approved, just for the fact that I could download and not stream it all the time.... :P
