  1. Personally, I'm really happy for you guys... but, if you start to rub it in (reminding single guys, such as myself, as to our relationship status), then I'll get a little annoyed... (this first time is permissible because you were announcing it)...

They've been good this entire time, haven't they?

    yay ambiguity + 1

Anyway, take a look at what I drew sometime in October after watching the Remixer Fuel video. Of special interest is second panel from bottom, near lower-right corner.

    :D

    t3h awesome.

    :nicework:

Since it's a restaurant scene I just had the horrible mental image of the 2 of them re-enacting the opening scene from Pulp Fiction.

Mostly the humor out of hearing zircon yell "EVERYBODY BE COOL THIS IS A ROBBERY!"

  2. It's actually "sol," not "so." Everyone thinks it's so, though... probably because of the actors' accents in The Sound of Music. :D

Really? I always though they each had 2 letters: Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti.

Many a children's keyboard has taught me wrong, oh noes! :o

  3. BTW, you forgot to mention Voting in your little Halloween message. I only remembered to do my part just now.

Wow. I spend the weekend out of town and have a busy 1st half of the week and so much happens...

Apparently the name has been changed back now--at least on the forums?

    I have discovered that Sola:

-is both Spanish & Italian for 'Single' (which she's not) and Portuguese for 'Sole'.

    WHA?? :dstrbd:

    ... :nicework:

She should do like in "That Thing you Do" and have a disclaimer in her sig or something: "Careful, boys, she's taken."

Anyway, I'm surprised you guys forgot to mention that So and La are musical tones. You know, "So; a needle pulling thread / La; a note to follow So?"

Hmm.. the 5th & 6th notes of a scale... That's the 2nd half... But before things start to get exciting with "Ti" and approaching the finish...

    Sorry, I got nothing.

    Why did you change it?

She wanted a name that sounded a little more official and professional. Since she is frequently involved with Opera she felt, and I have to agree, that the new name strikes a more womanly and operatic feel.

    ...

Pixietricks, I remember hearing, sounds a lot more juvenille to her.

So, so... no more mischievousness?

  4. As for your question, Abadoss, here's a breakdown!

Preparing the notes outline and organizing voicemail/report files: ~30 min

    Recording: ~1 to 2 hours

    File uploads/transfers: ~40 min

    EQ/Compression: ~20 min

Editing: ~6 to 8 hours total (so half that for each individual host)

    Exporting/Tagging/Uploading: ~1 hour

    Shownotes: ~1 hour

    Total: ~10 to 14 hours

And for special shows like the Anniversary Meetup, Video Games Live, 8bit Genocide, Otakon Panel, Episode #050 etc, it's of course much more. Even when we're not doing things directly for the show, we're always around checking emails, planning contests, and talking to you folks in IRC. VGDJ is more than a hobby, I'd say; it's a way of life! And you guys make it all worthwhile. :D

    Wow.

    *donates*

    zircoin.jpg

    Zircoin, Zircoin.

(left over from my Zircoin remix (see a few

    pages back).

Edit: Umm... How do I donate again? There's no button on vgdj.net

    So... much... <3...

    Heart...

    exploding...

*reached over to hold LAOS's hand...*

(At least that's how I think the movie goes...)

  5. Showing off a couple wallpapers for the VGDJ Wallpaper Pack II I have in the works at the moment.

Now I know that episode 100 seems a while away seeing as VGDJ is in the early 60s at the moment, but that gives me enough time to spruce up things here and there with the wallpapers, maybe even dish out some "extras" in the process. Only time will tell.

    :nicework: !

But keeping with the 1-a-week format, Episode 100 will be July 21, 2007!

Anyway, as far as the audio issue goes, maybe Zircon editing the shows (which I imply he's doing from his description) has something to do with it.

I listen to the shows primarily through my earbud headphones on my iPod--which is a change from a few months before where it was through either my stereo or in my car.

    Hmm...

...so let me say thanks now to both Andy for being a cool dude and to Jill for being a nice lady for hosting the walls on her own site.

For a second there, I thought that read "and to Jill for being a cool dude." 8O

  6. Anywho, this week's show's gonna be shweeeeeeet! You'll see why Saturday.

Yay. Sweetness makes my mouth water. :P

I was also going to ask you why your background music has gotten softer--almost inaudible--in recent episodes (although it did pick up again towards the end of #60). Not only can I not decide if the ReMix played is worth downloading anymore, but I think it really makes your podcast stand out and makes it all more entertaining. 8)

Also, am I the only one who noted that Pixie's "nerd" and (original) "old" voices kind of sound similar? Are you implying something here...?

  7. Just finished listening to Episode 58.

I was totally dancing around my kitchen (where I was at the time) to your stinger. :P

    Naked.

    True story.

--well, except for the naked part.

BTW, did you know that song (whatever it is...) is featured twice in AMV Hell 3? And one of them is to Azumanga Daioh? 8)

  8. Oh... heh... I guess I don't need to attach this in this my e-mail to VGDJ anymore. :P

    Anyway yeah, :nicework: q-pa.

    Yeah, sorry bout that.

I thought you said it would go out over the weekend and I didn't hear back from you. And I didn't want the Hoo-hoos to be a last episode thing...

Actually, the version you have, LAOS, is the original version.

And Pixie: Any paticular reason why you decided to record this episode with n00b on your head? :o

  9. Glad you guys liked the stinger ;) We were worried it might have been too random, but it was so much fun to do that we ended up using it anyway.

I think Family Guy has proven that there is no longer such a thing as too random.

Anyway on Thursday night I gave this to LAOS to give to you guys (by now I assume you know what I'm talking about...). Quickly whipped it up on the spot, but I found it funny enough to release publically.

  10. Jill should take a Pic of noob and write NOOB below. Then we'll act all eliteists around the web and hotlink every noob we find in anygame to the pic. Then we'll start an underground culture and then it turns into an internet meme like orly owl.

    Already made by me:

    djp_parakeet.gif

I may whip up another one real quick if I feel like it...

  11. So here's the scoop!

After three days of trying to work with MPEG-4, we have realized that it is an awful format when it comes to internet interaction. So we're going to reencode the video to .mov, which is a format that iTunes should recognize in our feed. Unfortunately, the movie won't be playable on your iPod unless you convert it yourself. But that's a small price to pay, considering most of our listeners simply grab the show off the site or on iTunes.

    If all goes well, it should be out sometime today! Sorry about the wait. ;_;

Pixie: Since you're a Mac user, check out iSquint for easily encoding iPod-compatable videos.

And, it can convert videos from YouTube for download if you know how.

  12. BTW, I traveld the 4.5 hours to Pittsburgh and back this weekend. Not having any new VGDJ to listen to made me a saaad q-pa.

Huh? We released a new show last week, and will be releasing another one this week either later tonight or tomorrow. They come out on Mondays.

I know, but I was done with it on Thursday.

Not complaining, just making casual conversation...

  13. Hmmm, I guess zircon could use his mod powers to update the first post by Rayza, sure.

Or he could lock & delete the thread and sticky a new one since this one's already bigger than Taucer's mom.

    NOOOOOO!

Granted most of it is crap, but it is still VGDJ history...

BTW, I traveld the 4.5 hours to Pittsburgh and back this weekend. Not having any new VGDJ to listen to made me a saaad q-pa.

  14. Hey! I just wanted to thank everyone here for voting this month. Not even a week ago we were considerably behind, but we put out the call and you guys responded in force. We are now back to #1 in Music/Radio and gaining more and more of a lead each day.

    So, once again, THANK you!

I still think one of us should prank-call Cry Baby Emo Kid's hotline if they have one :P

  15. Heyo. Thought I'd let you all know that VGDJ Episode 053 (from Otakon!) will be released tonight at 10pm EST!

    ...

Good thing too. I was just about to write my "ME WANT VGDJ NOW!" post.

Pixie and SONIC THE HEDGEHOG, YESSSS!

    You sold out, Jill...

  16. Another update:

    Front|Back

But this time I've made a lot of changes. Either I've improved it substantially, or completely butchered it ..although if no one likes it I can always go back to the way it was before.

    I like it! :)

Random thought from looking at your screenshot above: Maybe it would be a cool idea to make a 3rd disc design for the website bonus tracks, using the white star sphere. 8)
