  1. I'm another long-time lurker, but you're recent work with this remix really interests me! I believe by industrial music, the posters are referring to your powertools that you've implemented (power screwdriver, etc) in the remix. Some clanging and banging would be a nice little addition, but I'm not an expert in this department. I love where this is going, the industrial mixed with the chip arp really gives your tune a good drive. A poster gave the opinion of adding an overlay instrument to the melody after you have introduced it to the listener, and I've noticed you certainly have done so, but as someone else already stated, it needs some more "oomph" - more drive, something - and I'm not talking about the beat, you definately got that down. "Your soundcard works perfectly!" HAHA, that's an awesome introduction to ANY old school warcraft game, no matter what anyone else tells you! If anything, I suggest you make the intro-voice a little shorter. Even the ogre-voice in the middle there fits in with your remix, but leaves the listener (at least myself) expecting something more than just more of the same tune/beat - maybe here you can add something more industrial, besides the powertools, just my opinion. Overall, great work on this, and keep it up. I'm a warcraft fan from the days of the original Warcraft: Orcs and Humans! You did not dissapoint this fan, let me tell you!
  2. Hey all, my first time posting, and hopefully not the last, heh. Well, I've been searching and searching, through pretty much all the forums, and I cant find a thread regarding the DK64 songs. I thought I'd start one up in the form of a request. Long time OCremix listener, thought I'd start showing more love. The Frantic Factory from DK64 is one of my favorites from the DK music. I love them all, but that particular stage really gets me pumped, haha. I'd like to hear a remix of this with any sort of style! Anything to make this classic come alive again would be just what the doctor ordered. Here's 4 links to that particular stage, all related to each other in some way (they're all midis since I cant find much mp3 files from my work): http://midishrine.com/midi/20410.mid - In the game, before you actually enter the level, you are first taken to a "lobby." This is what plays in the background. http://midishrine.com/midi/20411.mid - In this stage, there are usually numerous "levels" and with each one comes a different music track. This is the first track of that stage. htthttp://midishrine.com/midi/20412.mid - Deeper in the stage, you come to the "Production Room" the main reason why I love this particular level so much, hehe. http://midishrine.com/midi/20413.mid - Each stage comes with a boss too (as I recall, but its been a long time since I last played the game). A much faster pace than its previous cousins, but it's just as classy! Anyway, I hope those links work! If you need any more info, just let me know and I'll see what I can do! Thanks!
