  1. All of this halo business is just lol. Anyone who is upset over not getting a halo needs to chill out because they aren't even that great. Personally, I wear my halo only on the Sniper because, combined with the Huntsman, it makes me feel Pit from Kid Icarus.

If you bring up the fact that Pit doesn't actually have a halo you're a NERD!

Tried to upload a new OCR Server video last night but the upload failed for some reason I don't understand. It told me that the video format wasn't recognized by their converters which makes little sense considering it's the same video format I've used for all my TF2 videos. Oh well, I'll try again tonight.

  2. I'm inclined to agree on the player count, at this point. Later today I think I'm going to track down a decent 18-player server and see how that works out.

As for comp Pyro, he does all the stuff you'd expect him to do. Flank the other team, apply pressure through afterburn, manage spam and ubers with airblast. At a higher level, yeah, the pocket soldier would just turn around and two-shot juggle you, but I've yet to play with anyone that good.

Wow, that sounds rather nice. Pubs are always getting me down and I've always been tempted to try out pugs and such. I'd have to "learn" to use my mic more often and I'd have to take the game more seriously, but it could be fun. Maybe.

  3. The atmosphere is pretty laid-back; heavy, spy and pyro appear frequently from round-to-round, and everybody gets together on Vent afterward to have a good laugh.

And a Pyro in the competitive scene does what, exactly? The only time I've heard of Pyro being brought out in comp TF2 is defending key control points with compression and such. So many times I've wanted to play in a more competitive setting but have been thwarted because I pretty much just use Pyro. I guess pubs are fine for me but the choice of maps and high player counts make it less enjoyable for me. And yes, for me 24 players is too many on most maps.

  4. Donkey Kong Country will always hold a special place in my heart, nostalgia I assume. But even if you ignore the spectacular graphics and music the actual platforming is still very solid. It's usually simple stuff compared to other games but it's fun and there are a few moments where the difficulty is great. Overrated? Probably. A bad game? Not at all.

  5. Anyone know what's so special about Onion Gloves? I got them from the the tail-collector guy and they don't seem to do much of anything. They appear to offer no defense or magic defense or any other easily seen side-effects. The only thing interesting I have noticed about them is that they carried over from my first playthough to my second one. Anyone know?

  6. I just beat the game last night, and the final boss wasn't that bad. Not compared to all the "mini" bosses guarding treasures in the final area. I think I missed a ton of stuff at various points so I've gone on ahead and started a second playthrough of the game.

  7. I just got this game last week and I like very much. I still need to get some of those guarded treasures from within the moon subterrane or whatever it's called, but I'm close to beating it. I definitely see myself playing through this game again sometime in the future, it's that good!
