  1. SimCity, for the SNES. Fun game. Impossible to last very long without a cheating device though. Eh-heh... Favorite song for that game would be the Capital theme. Daffy Duck: Marvin Missions is another fun game. Standard-issue platformer from the SNES era of course. I enjoyed the Heat planet, Water planet and Ice planet themes in particular. Wish I could remember the names of those planets. I was aware they were simplistic. I've made a lot of requests... Just hoping something inspires someone. Thanks.
  2. Well hey. This is pretty good! Thanks! Now see about getting it submitted to the site.
  3. First addition to the list of Oddball Games on my hoped-for list after making the main post. Managed to forget this one due to not actually having a hard copy of it on my shelf currently. Terra Cresta’s one of a slew of various top-down scrolling shooters. It was different from the rest in that you could assemble a squadron of ships that you could customize the firing directions of. It had a limited selection of songs, but they were all pretty good. The main Flying theme would, of course, be the first one I’d expect to see something of. ...There was another game I wanted to list in this addendum, but I forgot what it was now...
  4. One of Blizzard's initial works before they became the RTS & RPG Giant they stand as now, this game had some super-hip music that fit so well with the stage. I love ALL of the songs, though my favorites would have to be the Prehistoric World theme, and the Candy World theme. A ReMix of either would rock my world.
  5. While I thoroughly enjoy the ReMixes of the mainstream series games (Mario, Zelda, Metroid), I consider it my personal duty to bring to the light of attention several good-but-obscure NES games that indeed had good music in them (at least in parts), but only so many people are aware of. So, I have compiled a list of games that I feel need ReMixes, and, where applicable, specific songs therein that I'd personally like to see given attention to! Gyruss was mentioned in a previous post, and is at the top of my list, due to its status as my #1 NES game. 1943: The Battle of Midway: Loved this game. One of the few NES games my FATHER actually played back when I was a child. Specific songs to that game would be the main flying theme, and, more importantly (to me), the battle theme that plays when you battle the gigantic airplanes. Iron Sword: Wizards & Warriors 2: It all around had some interesting music, that could probably be turned into some pretty fantastic stuff (especially if it's a ReMix of just one song). The one song that comes to mind that I'd like to see attended to directly is the Underwater theme from the Water Elemental stage. Low G Man: First game on my list (not counting Gyruss) that isn't in the list of games for the NES here on the OCR Site. Low G Man had some good music in some stages, and it even had a soundtest mode to listen to them in. Just about any song would do well to receive a ReMix. The Iron Nail stage, the Frozen Wasteland stage, and the Metorilla Tower stage (I guess that's what that place was called) in particular. Orb 3D: Maniacal puzzle game, but it was crazy fun at the same time in its general simplicity. It really only had one song, but that one song was a catchy one. Pipe Dream and Tetris: Pipe Dream isn't around here at all, and so far, only Song B of the NES Tetris has received attention. This irritates me because: Song C is my favorite Tetris theme, and it seems to be largely ignored for some reason... The first two songs got remixes for Brawl, and, like I said, only Song B has been given attention here... As for Pipe Dream, the NES version has some pretty smooth music that someone could do wonders with, I'm sure. I WOULD include Solar Jetman on here, if not for the fact that I am aware Platonist is working on ReMixes of every planet in the game... I am SO looking forward to hearing them! Vindicators: The last game on my list would be this one, with its cool little set of tunes. The game was a favorite of a friend of mine, and I'd really like to see what some of the people here could do with its tracks. I'll probably think of more later... But this is good for now.
  6. I second this. This song is really great, but... I have a personal disliking of songs with lyrics. It would be fantastic if there was a "lyricless" version of this song available.
  7. I must say, that this is by far one of the best ReMixes I've heard so far. Solar Jetman is very close to my heart (a game of my youth). Shammy Gen's theme is my second favorite theme from the game (neck-and-neck second behind Preludon), so I was truly glad to hear such a well composed ReMix of it. I've listened to this song for 9 hours straight (throughout an entire workday), and I can easily say it helped me get through the day. I would go so far as to say this song is glorious, and I personally prefer to reserve the use of that word for the REALLY good stuff. Stuff so good it glows. I look forward to hearing your future SJ ReMixes!
  8. Strangely enough. Gyruss is my favorite NES game entirely. Solar Jetman is a close second, but it's already received a bit of (glorious) attention. But yeah, I'd be elated to see a ReMix of a Gyruss theme. Particularly either the First Warp or Second Warp themes, as well as the Boss Battle theme. I really don't know what their "official" names are, if they even have any. I know, it's totally off the wall. But that's what I'm interested in seeing. Among other things of course, but they may show up in due time. Thanks.
