Hello! I have been an OCRemix listener since around 2000 and my favorite shirt I have is my OCRemix hooded sweatshirt I got like a decade ago.
I saw an ad for the OCRemix patreon when I was on the site tonight and went over to take a look. It looks like it hasn't been updated in five years when the Chronopolis album was about to come out. Are there any plans to revitalize it and start actively using it again? Personally, I'm more of a one time purchase kind of person, so if you do hooded sweatshirts or t-shirts again I'd be up for supporting that way.

I'm going to second what avaris said about the length and add that I think too many artists think they have to hit at least four minutes, if not five or six, and it really isn't necessary most of the time. Like a good story, a song should only be as long as it has to be.

I first heard Uematsu's work playing Final Fantasy II (IV) in my best friend's basement. This was 1992. From that point I knew that video game music could inspire and move me. It drew me into the story of the game and was, in a way, it's own character. In high school I would put a tape recorder up to the TV and record my favorite Final Fantasy songs from the speaker and listen to them on my walkman. Now, years later I am still a fan. I love his work and I love how it inspires so many people. This community is a testament to that.

I lol'd at about 1:57 when the Samus theme comes in for a moment sounding weak and tinny, then it kicks back to the drums with some maniacal laughter

I was discouraged by the comments and I guess it's my own fault for reading some of them before listening to the song, but....
Guys, this is fucking hilarious! I laughed the whole time. I'm not sure I'd like to hear more remixes like this, but goddamn, you all had me rolling.
Also, was that Flik at the end? The voice sounds like the one from the Link plays guitar at Hyrule High School. Bad ass.
EDIT: Apparently Flik was the one needing people to sit on his crotch or something. Oh boy. Guys, let me just say one more time that this is fantastic, deserves to be on OCRemix in every way, and that if more people had a sense of humor the world would be a better place

This is one of my favorites off the FF4 Project. I feel like it's a really good battle theme. Weapons flying, people doing acrobatics trying to kill each other, magic exploding, and duels with people moving at super speed

Apologies, but I thought this was the weak point of an otherwise wonderful album. I enjoy a lot of the silly mixes like Team Gato and that Zelda one of the guy singing about his life in Kakariko Town, but I felt like this one tried too hard. I skip it each time I listen to Echoes. I don't find it musically pleasing and I don't really find it entertaining.

I really enjoyed the original track in the game. I thought it was airy and lonely and fit the setting perfectly. This remix definitely sticks with the same theme for me. I enjoyed it on Humans+Gears and it's one of my favorite pieces between the two CDs.
The style kind of reminds me of some of the tracks in The Journeyman Project which is really awesome

This was awesome and hilarious! I can just see some country Hyrule guy out there looking at the chickens in his yard thinking the bushes need trimming and singing to himself.
Contrary to what others have said, I think the voice fits and when it goes up on Hyruuuule and schooool I get a kick out of it. We need more fun mixes like this, Music of my Groin, and Team Gato

I teach English in Japan and I live out in the countryside. I first heard this in the morning as I was doing the half-hour walk to school. As I walked along the winding road that went up hills and down into valleys this song came on my mp3 player. Perfect for a brisk Autumn morning walking sleepy country roads past houses where the kids are just leaving to go to school. When I listen to this I feel like everything is right in my world. I feel like I'm home.

I've been following Kate on YouTube for nearly a year now and I'm really happy that after months of waiting this song has been posted to OCRemix. This was the song that got me interested in her other video game covers, and believe me, each one is incredible.

Dragon Warrior was my first RPG. I was young when I played it, somewhere between 6 and 8, but I remember that even then what drew me intot he game was the overworld theme. Its haunted by lonliness, and while the theme of the quest is also present, I've always thought that it took a back seat to the theme of the solitary hero. This mix is nicely done by adding the epix feel to the piece, and it is interesting to see the two themes that I pictured in the original reversed. Until about 1:05 the mix stays very true to the original tune, but then takes on the epic quality after that. I'm not saying that a song can't be both epic and lonely, but I think that one comes out more than the other.

I didn't understand what the title of this song meant at first. So I gave it a listen and laughed so hard when the phone kicked in. I thought the title was a joke. Other than the "Oh my god he used a cellphone" reaction, this is also a pretty cool mix. Downloaded.

I went through all the Chrono Trigger remixes not too long ago since my wife and I just finished the game. I came across this tune and loved it. It has a great beat and the lyrics fit the character. The melody is expressed really well too, both in the lyrical sections and instrumental sections. But, as I believe djpretzel said in his review, this mix has that sort of 80's new wave sound down pat and could, in my opinion, stand toe to toe with Mr. Roboto any day.
My only complaint is that, at least on my speakers, the lyrics don't seem loud enough compared to everything else and seem a bit drowned out
I listen to this on the train and its awesome

So, it's 14 years since this absolute banger was released. It's come up in rotation for me more than a few times over the years, but I honestly forgot about it until.... It came on while I was driving across town the other day and I knew every single word! So many great lines. Managing to rhyme "charges" with "beverages" kills me every time as well as the "terroristic beard" lol
Are the lyrics terrible? Yes, but it was supposed to be a group of guys horsing around and it makes me laugh every time.
Anyway, I'm 42 now and this is still as awesome as when I heard it at 28
