  1. I absolutely love thius. Just this morning I sat my A level Music Appraising Test, which was on 20th Century Composition. So coming on to OCR to find more of the same I laughed hard.

I prefer this to most of Schoenberg's work for having more content and less wierdness if that seems fair. It's the perfect balance of natural and unnatural. Duet of the Keyblade Masters is one of my top favourite Remixes ever so it's good to hear more of Uboichi.

  2. I think it's a great arrangement of the source, and really does keep the mood of the song intact. I htough the integration of the opening theme was smooth. And while I agree that the piano is out of place, I wouldn't remove it entirely.

I think angels Den idea of using a more fitting type of Piano would make the difference. Maybe even a Rock Organ.

  3. Woot!

Luiza never fails to make me happy.

Props to the Video Games Live too. I went to thier last concert in Europe in Cardiff. Sheer awesomeness beginning to end.

I can't help feeling they scaled it down though. They didn't have half the stuff you american have. I was amusied that they gave away OCRemix Albums as Prizes for the costume competition, because it's all free for anyone on here.

    Maybe next time.

  4. Okay I know that the general view Medleys is that they are lame but hear me out.

I'm in my last year of school, and having been a long stnading member of the school orchestra, am lookng foward to playing in the last concert. In every concert we play a big medley. Examples include Porgy and Bess, Idiana Jones Les Miserables e.t.c. The music director told me that we would be playing Pirates of the Caribbean in the summer concert 2010.

I love Pirates of the Cribbean. I especially love Hans Zimmers score to two and three.

But then, the School brass band Director said he wanted to play it. So No pirates Medley.

In answser I decided to write an alternative, with the view of pushing to play it in the concert instead. This was done on Sibelius, so no prizes for sound quality, but if all goes well I'll submit a live orchestral version.

I can hear from this recording, which uses different samples to the standard sibelius sounds that there are some issues, particularly between themes (always a sticky point) that I will address, but for the mean time, tell me what you think. If all goes to plan I'll post it.

  5. Not so much of a request as a queary as to the Lack of Disgaea Mixes. With one of the most Epic and intricate (not to mention bizarre) sountracks ever, i'd have thought Disgaea would be a prime target for some remixers *cough*shnabubula*cough*

If you've never heard of Disgaea Watch this Video now. Then go download the rest of the soundtrack to at least disgaea 1.

    Thanks Nearly

  6. I've scoured the web top to bottom in search ogf a few things music related. I figured that if no-one on here can help then its hopeless.

Do any of you know where i can pick up the orchestral underscore soundtracks (not the stupid pop propaganda the real music) for the pokemon films on cd or download. I have the first, but the other elude me.

    Thanks in advance.
