I kind of always enjoyed naming all the characters the name of one character, after the first time through. Such as in FF7, everyone was named Sephiroth. Made for very confusing fun.

Because the scene is being forced on me in order to play the game? Because worse, Sakamoto's flat out stated that he wants to make Metroid more like this permanently?
Yes, Other M doesn't ruin the previous games, aside from the obvious retconning about Samus' attachment to the larva, but if this means there won't be a true successor to Super and Prime (no, not a clone, not Super all over again - a true evolution of the franchise in an appropriate direction, with emphasis on the things Metroid's always been about), then yes, I am going to get rather annoyed over it.
Other M is the successor to Super Metroid, I thought that would be obvious.

That's exactly what it is. There are even people out there who think Adam was her boyfriend. That's icky. I actually got the idea that Ian was her boyfriend.
Oh, and another thing: yes, Samus is a bounty hunter, but in the Metroidverse, bounty hunters are actually an organization run by the Galactic federation, so if they decide to call on a bounty hunter or two, those hunters have to respond and follow their orders. Obviously there are independent hunters (as seen in Prime Hunters), but Samus, Rundas, Ghor and Gandrayda are a few of the hunters "owned" by the federation.
Of course, after Fusion she must have left and become her own agent, and I'd love to see what the next game after Fusion would be like. I would love to see a return of Admiral Dane, and some people were even suggesting that since Samus is now part Metroid, maybe her power-ups could be in the form of Metroid Evolutions. Alpha, beta, gamma and omega suits, if you will.

If Samus was given some kind of love interest, there would be many bricks shat across the world, I'm sure. Despite what some people may already think, THAT would be what ruins Samus' character, not the explanation of her feelings and her past.
I'm sure people don't think about why she's seems so driven to protect everyone. If I lost my whole family to space pirates, I wouldn't want to lose anyone else I cared about.

I saw a commercial for Metroid: Other M on T.V. a few days ago. It looked like it had potential.
Also, the actress who played Samus in the Zero Suit was hot.
Meh. I felt she was... lacking.

It changes from the new theme to the original, back and forth. Still, I think I like this new track better.
Also, hard mode is hard.

I just beat the game. Whatever reviewer gave this game less than 9/10 should be shot in the face with a revolver.

Such a beautiful game. Does anyone else who's completed the game simply love that new track that plays at the title screen? It's an incredibly lovely piece.

Man, I don't understand some people at all. The game is amazing so far; beyond my expectations. The only real drawback I've noticed is the segments where you're required to look around and find a certain object to trigger a cutscene. I swear some of them it's like "Where's Waldo?", but I guess I'm generally bad at searching anyway. Still, everything flows very seamlessly.
Also, Samus wears heels now. I <3 Team Ninja. The art folio is pretty baller, too.
