    Great work paranoid, really captured the feel of the tourny for me...

    So I did what I used to think was impossible and managed to make
    on the family computer of my demos from the Highlander tournament. Only took three hours to upload...not that I'm bitter... On a related note, I'll be back at college (and good computers/internet) on Sunday. I know you all miss my acupuncture. :3

    Fun fact: The music in the video started playing on my music player at more or less the same time I started watching it in full once I finished. Hilarity ensued.

    EDIT: To the person who said "You're playing Spy, the class is all about dick moves," you have my eternal gratitude for such an exploitable soundbite. (Was it D-Dub?)

    Given the number of people who picked the game up over the holiday sales, would there be interest in getting a bunch of people together, and going over the 6 man limit on the server, and get all of us together for a night to fool around?

    I played on a 32 man server back on my first test run of KF and it was fun, even if perks were disabled.

    What do people think?

    Also, thanks to everyone who helped me get the last achieve i needed for the Evil Santa. I managed to get it tonight at about 12:15......

    Rarity does not equal balance. If something's "awful", then it's awful no matter how long it takes to get -- because there will always be people willing to put the time in to get whatever overpowered-but-its-okay-its-really-hard-to-get thing is included in the game.

    especially since there's the option for people to just buy the items and not even put in any time towards getting them......

    Only thing I can think of is right handed character models being default. The corridors between point 1 and point 2 are normally left turns for offense, which means they can spam rockets and stickies around the corners without being visible. If the map was mirrored then defense would then have that to their advantage? Not sure how else balance could be affected by mirrors.

    Why did the mirrored maps bomb so hard? Was it just the overwhelming meh from being more or less the exact same map? (Ohnoes, we have to turn left instead of right. Whatever shall we do?)

    There was a bit of that, a lot of cognitive dissodence in how people were reacting, and i think a couple of the maps it actually made it easier for the defenders..... (mirror dustbowl point three, i'm looking at you)....

    I've got 14 now... as long as there's one last easy one in Saturday's set, I'll have the second TF2 hat. :D

    Arrggh, I'm at 13, even with the freebies today..... gotta figure out if i want to bother trying to find two more acheivements to go back and do.

    had a great time tonight on the OCR killing floor server. Frogg, Fireslash and a few others took some time to put down some zombies........

    It probably should have its own thread fairly soon.

    Was a good time, and i achieved my first medic perk by mostly healing Fireslash......

    Is RUSE any good? At least from a single player perspective?

    Also, anyone here like Alien Swarm? I'm looking to play with some of you if you do. I dislike playing with random people generally. I played it some when it came out (pretty much to get the hat), but then just went back to playing TF2. So yeah, LFG to play Alien Swarm with :D

    yeah, i'm up/down for/with that.

    Starting the 17th, i'm o nvacation till the 3rd, but i'm able to play in the evenings till then.

    So, now that the Highlander server is no longer needed, I should shut it down?

    Too bad it didn't happen a few days ago, or we could have kept the CS:S server. Then again, NO ONE used the CS:S server during November (according to stats).

    Oh right, I booted the CS:S server to steal its IP for the TF2 Beta server.

    I beleive that atmuh has requested the use of the highlander server for his team.......

    Our next Highlander match is coming up, big duh, and I doubt any of us want to play on Thanksgiving day. Or the day after, likely. Or maybe you do, I don't know.

    My point is, what days and times work for you Highlander folks this weekend?

    I'm good for whatever, this is just a normal weekend for me.

    Are we going to do a walkthrough of the map ahead of time?

    I'm not sure, it seems like the steam client thinks i'm not logged on, when i am, and can see the little "barkman's account" in the corner.....

    so i think it's a steam issue, rather than a group admin issue.

    Wait, you can't? Why not? Everyone should have admin permissions...

    Also, nice videos, i'm glad i don't star in them this time. Also, some slight spelling fail at the start of the first one :)
