So you need an artist? I'm not sure if I've mentioned him already, but this guy might be willing to make you some artwork. Or I could take a crack at it but I'm not nearly as good as he is.

Well shoot, I don't check up on the thread in a few months and you guys go and name the album "Double The Trouble." Oh well. Not like it matters too much I guess. Awesome job! Joe Elm has an excellently light tone to it which'll add some much needed happiness to the album. Northern K-Remisphere is pretty nice as well, a great remix to a great map screen song. Matt Drovin should name his Swanky's Slideshow remix "Senior Simeon Superiority." Thrill of the Chase is absolutely amazing. I love the rhythm is has going. Enchanted is cool, though I've never been fond of lyrics in remixes, but that's just me. Intoxica is phenomenal. Definitely one of the best in the preview. Another Soundscape's Mill Fever remix should be called "Woodgear Wearhouse." I already have the WIP of Epic Bananas and it's still one of the best remixes in the preview. Breaking the Crystal Key is really nice and ambient, making a nice balance with the other songs. The Paper Chase is a remix of a remix, which is really awesome. Ilpo's remix of Treetop Tumble (GBA) should be called "Band Camp Kong." Tangerine Fever is amazing with it's mix of ambiance and rhythm. Chasing Waterfalls is right up there with Intoxica and Tangerine Fever in pure niceness. Vext is pretty dang cool with it's beat. Aquatic Transformations has a nice balance of rock and ambiance. This is shaping up to be one amazing album guys! But what happened to the guys remixing the SNES Rockface Rumble? Weren't there two other guys making remixes?

Well heck, I might as well start with Renoise. The interface looks leagues easier than Madtracker, and seems to come with a better soundpack. I may never really become a serious remixer, but I figure that if I have ideas for remixes than I might as well try.

Huh... My little brother hasn't started but a week ago and what little he's done sounds pretty good to me composition-wise. It's the sounds themselves that make it sound flatter. Then again, he is musically inclined. Not that I'm denying that practice definitely makes improvement. I'm sure he'll figure out how to do a ton of things he wasn't able to do before. Heck, for all I know his remixes are garbage right now and I can't tell. Funny though, the only other music making program I've ever worked with was SimTunes. That was a fun game. Well I guess this answers my question. I'll see what I can do with this I guess.

To be honest I have absolutely no idea what VST's are, or actually anything regarding remixing. Though listening to the music here, and having thought up several remixes in my head, I figure if I could learn the technical side of it, I could output some good stuff. I simply don't know where to start. As for VST's, according to the site, it is compatible. "MadTracker implements multiple technologies for time-efficient and intuitive control of your projects. The mixing console gives you immediate overview and control, and automation of all VST plugins and built-in effects guarantees the fastest realization of your wildest imagination." I personally have no clue as to whether or not I can make good music in it. My little brother has dabbled in it and has made some pretty cool sounding sequences in it, but I'm not all too fond of the very MIDI-like sounds it uses. If it's possible to import and use better quality sounds then I guess that can be bypassed. On a side note, I do have one other sound program, albeit one I have no clue how to use. I got Adobe Production Premium CS4, which includes Adobe Soundbooth CS4. Not sure how that'll help though.

is it good for making quality remixes? Because I know you can make cool music with it, but I haven't seen many examples of really good quality sound from it. You know, stuff that's been done on OCRemix with orchestra sounds. Or will I actually need to learn a few instruments to get that effect?

If this album gets done early, I'll do something awesome for the occasion. Not sure what, but it'll be something. Also, three rockface rumble remixes? Sounds good to me!

I'm with you Emu. Rockface Rumble is my absolute favorite of the SNES tracks. Heck, I've even thought up custom on-the-fly remixes of them. Unfortunately, I don't know bean seeds about remixing or music in general so I'm unable to make them realities, much less meet OCR standards of remixes. I might be able to bearly manage VGMusic or VGMix standards if I dabble with midi software but nothing like you guys are capable of.

Huh. Musta been a different song. It's hard to tell what song is a remix of what for some of them. Granted, these are only short previews of them, so I can understand why. Now you just got me curious as to what songs they are remixes of.

Sounding sweet so far! Is that a techno remix of the waterfall theme? Also, I hear a GBA Jungle Jitters remix. Wasn't that one abandoned?

Hmmm... So you're having art woes eh? I know plenty of really good artists that might be able to pitch in. I know that other OCR album art usually have a single artist making them so as to be consistant. I can't say much for my art myself, and I'm not sure it would be up to snuff, but I have connections. If you think you could use a different artist to work on it, let me know, I can find someone. No offense to the rest of the artist. Heck, I haven't even seen the existing art in question, but I can tell ya that art consistancy is pretty important when it comes to presentation, and if you have a lot of artists working on one project, well, it can sometimes look sloppy, no matter how good the individual art looks. Just my two cents.

Decided to give the GBA version a good listen to when I realized the list of songs up for grabs for the GBA version is incomplete. Stilt Village and Waterfall are missing from the list. Stilt Village in particular would be a huge miss, since I consider it to be one of the better ones in the GBA version. Also the credits, but that was just a medley of the other songs so not sure if that counts.

Aww. But speculating them now is so much fun.

Fair enough. Also, "Kong's Final Country" might work.
