  1. I've never owned or played Amiga but I can really appreciate this tune and the original composers cyberpunk aesthetic through this beautiful remix. Also a huge fan of the instrument choice, those echoey bells are so iconic reminding me of a few artists in the 90s that used them heavily. This track was a must download for me. I probably download about 5-10% of the remixes I listen to.
  2. A great first remix, and I would of assumed it came from an oldhead, lots of familiar sounding instruments here from the trance/techno heavy era of early oc remix. A great tune and I'll have to check out Lufia / Lufia II have heard great stuff about it.
  3. Played FFV for the first time a few years ago on the ole SNES, and this jam goes so great could see myself just flying around in the airship listening to this with a nice drink and the cat on the lap and the kiddo screaming in the background throwing stuff at me.
  4. Feel like this could be a track on The Downward Spiral when he gets experimental cool stuff.
  5. I dont comment on every track I listen to, but yeah, this is such a sick remix I got to say, the gorillaz nostalgia, gaming music, plus sick original vocals, I am here for it.
  6. A beautiful piece that hopefully helps in peace and recovery.
  7. Very fun, I started listening and right away envisioned Scarlet as the singer without knowing what track was being covered. Great stuff. 😎
  8. Another beautiful classical piece. As I work backwards newest to oldest I continue to enjoy the peaceful sounds and interpretations of RebeccaETripp's remixes. It also gives me a kind of cozy christmas feel, could easily slot this in closer to Christmas! Maybe thats the Harry Potter effect of those movies always releasing around Christmas? I think?
  9. Is there a word in the dictionary to describe a specific type of note or sound just bringing a sense of satisfaction? I don't know if that is just the quality of the mix but it comes through my speakers in a super high fidelity way? This is bomb. I don't really know what's going on, par for the course, but there's zombie chickens at the club or something. Anyway I gotta bring it back to the beginning, that opening is so crisp and clean, it's like a shower for my ears, yeah.
  10. Ooooo this beat goes so hard. Perfect bass for this. Reminds me of my days getting sucked into industrial music for unhealthy long stretches. But we all need a little darkness to appreciate the light! And this is truly a gem of darkness! πŸ’Ž
  11. Yes! Wow, I only have one FF14 track saved on my youtube playlist, and its this song. They always have amazing music but my Samurai just kind of chilling at the top of the city listening to this tune, ah it was glorious. What a beautiful remix of it, keeps the jazzy downtown vibe with more sax appeal? I don't know, but this is another beaut from ff14. πŸ”
  12. I have to say..... What an awesome mashup, AND, the violent but....deep space(?) feel, is being dug by me. There was some really fabulous transitions in this piece, and I love the way the crescendos on the synths swapped to angry guitar. Bravo. πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™
  13. Love this remix, I never played pictionary, but I do remember some of those "game show" style NES games, and I mostly hated them! This title screen song, however, is a different story. It's just a vibe, I can't help but be propelled to a jazzy, funky elevator in the 80s, it's where the real party is. Or something. I was only 3 years old when the 80s ended, but I imagine an elevator party with all kinds of crazy stuff going on would be COOL. Alright I need to stop leaving my 2 cents when I'm zombie mode tired. Great remix!
  14. As I continue my "newest to oldest" personal challenge of listening to every remix, this one has perhaps looped more times than any other track....Like, is Bubsy allowed to go this hard?? Remix of the year perhaps? Lol. 🌠
  15. I'm normally not a huge fan of lyrics in game remixes (especially when they are instrumental). Just a thing with me. Anyway, man, the rapping is so good and perfect for this remix, mad respect! Love this homage to TJ&E! πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™
  16. This work really stands on its own... My friend, having already got me into the gateway drug of FF Tactics a few years prior, got me onto the hard stuff in 2018, FF14 MMO. I distinctly remember the base game being "ok" but not great, heavensward was truly a breath of fresh air as I reached the first "expansion" of the game. The music was great, but I am poignantly reminded that it has been probably 5 years since I wandered the halls of heavensward. It's definitely been 2-3 years since I played FF14 at all, and the music was always so phenomenal. Anyway...really love this mix, I'll have to log back in just to chill in heavensward and listen to the tune after this. 😎
  17. Man some remixes, you just instantly click with....This is one of them.. What am I drawn to? I suppose I am a sucker for downbeat jazzy trance. Also the kind of ethereal "stretched" synth sounds just make my brain happy. Not to mention the actual mix quality, at least on my desktop monitors is just so crisp and clean. What's not to love. πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™
  18. What a fantastic remix. Saucy beat, and oh my god I don't know what one of those synths was, but that is definitely OLD SCHOOL, and I love it. I don't know how to describe it, its got that reverby quality to it? It's on many of the classic bangers here, but properly and beautifully splashed into this. Nostalgia from classic ocremix and classic games all in one, so many layers....like an onion.....ogre......
  19. Love the energy in this track. Feels like a mini orchestra of an adventurous spring day in the forest. As I continue to work my way backwards from newest to oldest remixes I find these little oasises(oasi?) of rebeccas remixes to be a nice calm rest point between some of the more wild tracks haha. Thanks for the great arrangement!! πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™
  20. Really creative take on a fan favorite. The melody in this track can be so powerful on its own that some remixes have to stray really far to stand out. This one feels like it compliments the melody while still being quite experimental. The intro was a little rough for me I really dislike that distortion effect, I am sure it was to set the tone, but ughh....Outside of that, bobbed along happily, and that crunchy ending was so satisfying, left me wanting more! Wait isn't that the opposite of satisfying? 5 stars! 🌠
  21. I really like the "lo-fi" bass here mixed with some more 'crystally" sounds, feels like im exploring a cave full of glowing....crystals! Possibly after consuming some mushrooms found in the cave. You know what, s****'s getting wild, time to get out of the cave! Adding this one to the "chill, rainy day" playlist! πŸ˜ŽπŸ€™
  22. One of my favorite things about this site is I learn something new about music itself every so often. When I read the critiques before the song(most of the time, I swear), sometimes I get confused, and feel compelled to learn more. Other times I just piece together clues slowly as I read more and more judge critiques and sort of "solve" what their discussing.....Anyway, what I mean to say is, I only had a vague idea of time signatures, and the emphasis on the time signature being challenging made me ask, well what the hell is 13/8 mean anyway? So it send me down a 20minute youtube rabbit hole where I took an introductory lesson into sheet music on bars, measures, and finally timings. I still cant tell a 4/4 from a 6/4, but now I know that 13/8 is really fast. Lol. And I feel that in the drums. And I love it. This is a fantastic remix, gives off a whimsical but industrial vibe, at the same time. Great stuff!
  23. Always been a huge fan of goldeneye...so many 4 player matches....slappers only...license to kill....turbo.... And of course, the oldest always got oddjob, relegating us all to get chopped to death at our knees.... But I digress. Really moody ambience here, far more haunting than expected in a 007 track, but I dig it. In fact, I don't recall this original melody, which is kind of blowing my mind when I think about how much we played this game..I really like what's going on though, definitely has an epic sense of mystery, suspense and perhaps doom. Fantabulous.
  24. This is SO good!! We need more of this style haha. 😎
  25. I've heard quite a few variations on this theme over the 20 some odd years I've perused this site, and this is definitely a top notch variation! Love the instrument choice and execution. The one crazy mutation in the middle was a bit off-putting, but I suppose that's the point in Dancing Mad. Anyway I'd also like to thank jnwake specifically from this track for all the collaborations I've observed you in. Artists like you keep this site alive with new music, I feel like as I've been working my way backwards from the newest music back to the very beginning I am frequently seeing your name on the tracks on the first couple pages, so that's awesome for OCR and listeners like me.
