  1. I never played the Street Fighter 2 with Fei Long in it growing up. I just had SF2 Turbo on SNES and Genesis and thought that was it... Well anyway, if I could go back in time I'd play the version with Bruce Lee Fei Long, because he fits so well in the universe, and if this tune is any to go by, is a certified banger. I love eastern influence mixed with that buttery smooth jazz. I could even imagine a deep soul jazz vocals slotted into this track, very great stuff.
  2. Suffering from rapid head nodding after this track. Very fun and makes me want to devour an entire bag of sourpatch kids. 😎
  3. Maynard Keenan is that you?? Hehe I love the style and vocals reminiscent of certain musical groups I've listened to. Very interesting spin, and with the kind of angst Cloud goes through in FF7, this blends right in and I dig it. I can't speak to the RE part since I've never played one, but fantastic collab!
  4. Congratulations on your successful resubmission! I've never played the classic GB Final Fantasy, but I can "feel" the classic sound at the beginning of the track, and it seems to evolve and morph into something more interesting as the track completes. Feels a bit like a story without words the way the song progresses, very lovely.
  5. The melody is such a great one I feel like just a bit of experimentation with instruments and effects is enough to get a happy smile from me. This is one of those tracks I tend to like less the more it strays from the melody. Feels like a great remix of a classic, thanks for keeping the megaman tradition alive!
  6. Sometimes I am just listening to the tracks in order and even if I like it or even download it sometimes I skip by commenting. Well this one has so many positive vibes to it just had to say it rocks. Then again I am a sucker for various 80s electronic/rock aforementioned. \o/
  7. I love the story of persistence, and I also love his homage to the earlier remixes, I feel it for sure, and its a welcome feeling indeed! And to be fair, when you factor in the tools available for those earlier submissions, the bar is a bit higher these days I imagine, haah! And that shows in this track, modern tools and talent, with an "early 2000s ocr" feel.... Yeah I'm nodding my head to the beat.
  8. Other than the glitching sound effects, I could easily see this slotting into the OG Pure Moods album as far as the feel and theme(dating myself I suppose yet again). Imagination invoking, refreshing, and relaxing all at once.
  9. My old stash of dusty definitely legal, definitely medical stuff buried in the closet somewhere is feeling like a great idea after listening to this track. The tempo change, crazy effects, and wild instrument selection make me want to sit on the porch and enjoy life in a slow way, preferably with a few likeminded folks. Those silent sessions where you are just sitting around listening to tunes and zone out, I am feeling it! Thanks for this one.
  10. Sonic 1 was the first console gaming system I owned I think in 1991? At the age of 4 was just locked in playing this game dying over and over...Anyway I spent a lot of time in the Marble Zone. I have mixed feelings about this zone. The music was moody, and the levels were designed to trip you up, didn't really let you "go fast"...That's ok. I still have fond memories as I got older and whooped that games ass. Anyway, I love the sampling, I love the beat, I love the vibe. I definitely see those ridiculous caterwatevers grooving along to this as they wait for me to walk into them and lose my precious rings.... Thanks for this interpretation, quite a strange jam haha.
  11. Love the Title, I mean, thats the most important of a remix right?? Ahem. There's a lot of fun going on here and I am all for it. Maintains the groovy edginess of the original, but the heavier metal riffs and more spaced out keyboard/synth parts definitely inspires a slightly different mood. Overall I really enjoy this remix and pays proper homage to the OG soundtrack! 🤙
  12. Hello wonderful people! I have been a lonely north american on again (more often) off again player of this fantastic Korean beat-em-up mmo for close to *looks at date* 20 years.. Well anyway, Dungeon Fighter Online has fantastic music, and one that was always pleasant was the shop theme (where you go to waste your money or free credits!). I would find myself just randomly sitting in the shop to listen to the theme and no other reason. I don't know if it inspires remixing, but if nothing else, I've spread awareness....of a old shop theme, hah! I do not have a specific genre request. Link to music:
  13. Ooo baby I love the bass choice here, the Doom melody is unmistakable, and I feel like this would easily slot into a (early 90s)NIN song, or back into the original game without missing a beat. Lovely.
  14. Oh man that kind of spacey 70s rock/synth instrumental is fantastic. More of this!
  15. Wonderful song, I'd just like to say that is a beautiful voice complimenting the music. Three cheers! edit: Her voice reminds me of Evanescence. I hope that is a compliment. =)
  16. Just to take a quote from the composer: "My goal for this remix was to create something inspired by 90s happy hardcore music, which was a favorite back in my teens." Well I certainly appreciate that! I didn't even know what "Happy Hardcore" was growing up, but in 2001 I found OCRemix and was introduced to the genre through various zelda/megaman remixes that utilized this style. They certainly bring a unique energy and vibe, one that I dig. And it is fantastic to see that style alive today on the site still! One of the things I've found, not a bad thing, is that the musical variety has expanded tremendously from the early days of mostly electronic style genres on this site. Nonetheless those remain my favorite, so I am always a little extra happy when they are released in modern times. Huzzah.
  17. I went into this particular piece with low expectations. Not due to the composer, style, or anything of that nature. It's this particular theme, which, in my many skyrim playthroughs, popular media, and other avenues has been exhausted to where I have lost appreciation for it. This fantastic interpretation felt more like an epic movie score in those old classic films of the 50s or something? Or maybe it's just because classical music is so popular in film. Either way, what an enjoyable experience, in particular that build-up from 6 minutes to 7 minutes, whatever was going on there struck me deeply, some kind of feeling of doom, or portent, it was chaotic and beautiful and melancholy all at once for me. Anyway this is clearly a SUPER talented individual so I thank you for sharing this with the community and giving me a new appreciation for the original piece which is a great thing as well.
  18. Thanks for your contribution, I had looped this 4x before I realized it. What can I say, a fun listen, nice and easy and breezy, just what you need during a study break!
  19. A beautiful emotional work, I am glad the artist has found a new way to continue enjoying the holiday season, and that this piece was the inspiration for the music. Octopath Traveler I had some beautiful music so this has opened my eyes on the "To Do List" to get Octopath traveler II.
  20. Ethereal, Jazzy, Lo-Fi but actually not Lo-Fi, then spacey, or is that just another word for ethereal? I am repeating myself.... I love this track, I wish I could go back in time, pop this in a CD in my car, skip some class with good mates, and light a spliff to this on the way to the beach, yeah? Fantastic, this one goes down into the downloads folder, cheers. P.S. I am not British or Australian, I don't know why I randomly use their old slang, hah!
  21. The bassline certainly commands the attention, one might say it conquers the other parts of the music? No? We dont do that here? Ok. I really love the noted retrowave vibe, however it still gives that military "we mean business" feeling via the pronounced bass. I haven't listened to the original piece, so I will certainly give that a go. I played the original command and conquer and that entire OST is imprinted into my brain 30 years later. Red Alert was the other entry I played. For some reason, Tiberian Sun never found it's way into my CD Tray... Good times though, it warms the heart seeing tribute paid to the classics, thank you for putting your energy into such a pleasing mix.
  22. I love that "wind sound" that many tracks favor, especially in this EDM style, and it certainly fits the title. A pleasing track that evokes bright sunny days exploring the seven seas or something.... Especially the rhythm gives the feeling of the ebb and flow of waves. Lovely.
  23. Wow I thought I was dealing with a Piano/classical type interpretation at the start, the beat drop was extremely welcome and a fun surprise. I am absolutely loving the retro vibes. Reminds me of those action/thriller 80s movies. You know the ones I am referring to: dark, brooding, but a lone hero in a dying world has to get the job done anyway against near insurmountable odds. A big fan, time to go watch Terminator 1! Or maybe that zombie movie where the guy plays chess by himself up in the apartment? Phenomenal work!
  24. Uh, wow! Crazy talented group of musicians there, or, I imagine, one guy with like 8 instruments attached to his body in various ways..... Not a song I can listen to in the background, feel like it really forced my attention otherwise the song made me lost in the chaos of the changing instruments. Once I embraced this wild mix I got swept along and enjoyed this very unique piece. Bravo for coming up with such an interesting genre mash up.
  25. Several things just "feel right". Hit me in several weakpoints: ethereal choir, some zippy synth melody, and a, hmmm tight/stiff bass beat? I am a man that struggles to grasp the correct language for what the music is telling me, but this entire track is incredibly pleasing to my ear, and opens my imagination where I begin creating stories/scenarios in my head. 5 stars!
