  1. Hey guys, please support me and vote for my "Metal Hybrid EDM" song!

*Remember, for the vote to count, you must connect to facebook, and agree to follow casablanca on spotify (you can unfollow them after the vote, and you can delete you wavo.me account after voting as well). You will know the vote counted when seeing "Thank you for voting, and you should see the vote count increase!

  2. Not bad! I do feel that monophonic synth could use some exciting and light verb. The drums (hats and snare primarily) I feel could use some plate reverb.

The lead bellish pad melody that plays towards the end, I feel could use a hall reverb (imo, still sounds cool).

    This sounds pretty awesome!

  3. Sorta agreed with timaeus on this.

While arrangement is pretty cool, the mixdown is flat, while I dont mind the adlibs, they are a bit cheesy. Some of the leads (imo) sound a bit "to plain" in compared to the overall soundscape of the mixdown. Like a dramatic contrast.... but that is just me.

    otherwise, I dig this.

    Welcome to OcRemix bruh.

  4. Thank you for the support everyone! I agree that competitions should be based on work, but apparently popularity sounds better than quality ; /

Also, I hope everyone is hitting the red "Vote" button below, because I'm not sure if some votes are registering. I cant see them on my notifications :(

  5.

Life does not work that way.

Anyway, folks, definitely feel free to help out Air3s, he's extremely talented. If he doesn't deserve your vote, just don't give it to him, but show some love if he deserves it within the pool of what you're voting on.

    <3 Thank you captain!

Also I want to add that a facebook login is required for the vote to count O.o

  6. Hey guy this is really cool! You've certainly got talent and I'm going to check this out, but maybe perhaps instead of asking for votes you ask for participation? I mean, the point of 1st place is for the person who produces the best, not the person who campaigns the best...good luck either way!!!

oh...PS, making great music one Soundcloud?......oh you better believe that's a following...

Thank you hehe!  I wish, alot of festivals look for the most known DJ/artist to attend.

  7. So OCR has a vast assortment of very different artists with many different styles and influences.

So I'm wondering. What music influences and inspires you? If I wanted to listen to music similar to yours, where should I look?

I'll go first - I consider my main influences to be Vince Dicola, Joe Satriani, Van Halen, Journey, Michael Jackson, Pendulum and Daft Punk.

What are some artists that influence your own music?

Joe Satch, Van Halen, Micheal Jackson, Jun Senoue, Daft Punk, Zedd, Dreamtheater, etc.. To many to name hehe

  9. My stance? I CRANK DAT SOULJA BOY UP CUZ!

really, most of my tracks are -8 to -5 rms. For the style I make, my tracks are supposed to be loud so it can compete in dj sets, but sometimes i'm to lazy to make my song louder (yes I get lazy) so I just slap a limiter on my master to prevent clipping and call it a day.

  10. I remember mic'ing my teachers piano.

I honestly like my pianos mono. sounds fat and sits like a boss in any mix.

    wut Darangen said pretty much.

Determine the tone that you are going for in your recording. the closer the mic,

the more upper frequencies and overtones you will pick up, a brighter tonality. The farther away, the more room/air and more of a resonant sound you get.

  11. wut Moseph said, great composition, but both L&R channels are clipping.

Imo, the mixdown could be a bit more more dynamic.

The french horns on the left channel don't sound natural.

The piano sounds a bit too wide, blocking some other instruments frequencies in the the stereo mix.

I also kinda agree that the composition gets a bit predictable, but in the upside of that, it's catchy.

    I dig this.
