  1. I think EyesOnMe CAN work in a fast-paced techno style, but only does so decently here. The pounding rhythm was perhaps a bit too powerful, however, for it completely drowned out the rather excellent vocals. Perhaps a different or slightly toned down drumline would better accentuate the singing. I still definitely enjoyed this remix, however.
  2. EXCELLENT. I've heart several Anxious Hearts remixes before, but I probably like this one the best. It manages to make a multitude of cool rhythm elaborations and stay fairly true to the original theme. I was surprised to not see more "two thumbs up" reviews. Recommended.
  3. Rock on! This is a little piece of techno heaven. Like tasty pie. (OK, so that was a pretty stupid analogy.) Nevertheless, the sheer variety and and quality consistent throughout this piece definitely made it a winner.
  4. Heh, all of the comments about the "Happy Birthday" intro are funny to read. I sort of have mixed feelings on it. At first, I thought it was insanely stupid and wanted to delete the file immediately, but finally decided I kinda liked how the song did a 180 from retardedness to awesomeness. It is certainly memorable, so I'll probably keep it. That "Happy Birthday" at the very end cracks me up every time, too.
  5. I simply cannot believe you played this entire piece in one take. Spekko, you are quite simply an amazing pianist. The piece is long and excellent, faithfully recreating the original Chrono Trigger theme while successfully creating new piano elaborations. I am a huge fan of piano pieces, (perhaps since I play piano myself), and this is probably the best piano-only OC remix I've heard.
  6. This theme is quite well done. It made an enjoyable remix out of a theme which I only slightly liked to begin with. Good job!
  7. Coooooooooooool.......Very Catchy! This may not go down as my personal favorite, but it's excellently done and has a great deal of instrumental variety. ...did I mention that catchy beat? Oh ya, I think I did! ......Very Catchy!
  8. Oops. Heh, I just read above where you said that that ocarina transition was intentional. Well... good! At least I was noticing the creator's idea behind the opening.
  9. I liked this remix. It is true, (as other people mentioned), that the ocarina at the beginning is a tad plain. In a way, though, it reminded me of the original gameboy ocarina sound, so kind of produces a nice transition from simple gameboy music to more complex orchestration.
  10. This piece rocks! I must say, the idea of combining the Macarena, WipeOut, and the Chocobo theme was brilliant, and makes for one of the most fun songs I've downloaded.
  11. I really liked this piece. While it may be true that there are many voices playing loudly throughout the body of the piece, the main melody still emerges strong. I especially like the powerful drumbeats and arpreggios which build up to the theme. Excellent!
