  1. Thanks guys. And thanks for your interesting feedback. Yeah, I definitely took some interesting choices/risks with this one. Definitely not for everyone. I happen to really like the transition. It's probably my favorite part about the song. And I also love that synth sound, but there's no doubt that it's cheesy. I guess I kind of revel in that...I liked the idea of ending the song the way it started, to come full circle. But I agree that it makes it a little less slick. Thanks again guys!!

  2. Sonicesque Vol. II is the second original album of Sonic music in the Genesis style, composed by Karl Brueggemann. With this second volume, I really took things to the next level. I received some great feedback from Vol. I, which motivated me to go above and beyond what was originally just an experiment with a new plug-in. My goal for Vol. II was to try and emulate that classic Genesis style, while also making sure my own compositional voice was heard. Sonic 3 is the main influence here, but also Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 2. Fans of those games will notice some songs inspired by specific levels, such as Hydrocity, Angel Island, Ice Cap and Lava Reef, among others. I’ve put a lot of love into this album, and I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do. If so, please spread the word! Below is the Youtube link, as well as the download link.

Thanks for listening! Let me know what you think!

  3. If you are a fan of Sonic Music from the Genesis era, you are in for a treat. I have recorded an album of original Sonic-style music, drawing inspiration from those classic games. I used a VST plug-in called VOPM, which perfectly emulates the Genesis sound chip. It will feel like you are uncovering a lost Sonic soundtrack! Please give it a listen. I worked hard to make sure the music was of the highest quality. There are nods to classic levels such as "Mystic Cave Zone", and "Marble Zone", among others. Below is the Youtube link and the download link. Let me know your thoughts!

    Enjoy!
