  1. Oh, and I would just like to say that I think that the game looks really good so far, you guys are doing an exceptional job.
  2. I would be interested in doing some sound design, if that's an option. I can send some mockups if you'd like. Though that's not to say that I wouldn't love to compose music for it either. (I apologize for the lack of demo material on my Soundcloud, I've been meaning to write some short tunes and sound effects now that I've become more active in this community, but I haven't had the time)
  3. I might bring it up some time in the future. I'm very new to this community, so I want to be a part of some projects first before I try and direct anything.
  4. I might as well just post it here in case anyone else wants to. Basically, what I did is follow this video to find out how to rip the right files from a Wild World rom: Since this method requires Windows and is a bit confusing, I'll upload the ripped and converted files here: https://www.mediafire.com/?6nbj0637da2od6n (I don't think that sharing them is illigal, but if it does get taken down then just follow the video and rip out your own .dls) Next, download Sforzando (Windows and Mac): http://www.plogue.com/products/sforzando/ and you should be able to open up the .sfz files that I uploaded. If you ripped the .dls yourself, just tell Sforzando to import the file and it'll generate the .sfz files itself. Also, since the soundfonts for the different KK vocalbles are all in separate .sfz files, I made a custom instrument rack preset for Live users (check the hint box in the lower left of Live for the macro knob value for each syllable): https://www.mediafire.com/?vu3220s5z4t2bt2 Just PM me if you have any questions.
  5. Yeah, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in the project as a whole, and there's no way that we could remix all of them. Maybe some other time. I did find a way to use KK Slider soundfonts from Wild World inside a DAW though, which I thought was pretty cool and would have been great for this project.
  6. One could always sneak in a different melody as part of a larger remix. If it's only a small amount, then I would think that it would only serve to augment the main melody of the remixed song. For example, there's this one Touhou hardstyle song that had a small portion break into the Ode to Joy, and it fit in pretty well with the main melody of the track.
  7. The difference being that this is much more accessible than Cubase, with the most expensive version being somewhere between $100-$200 (too lazy to find the exchange rate from 99 Euros) and the base software being completely free. Though, this is why I'm cautious about the quality of the thing - I would expect a DAW that cheap to be pretty crummy. And of course, you'd need hella internet speeds for streaming HQ audio (like you said). Who knows though, maybe it's not that bad.
  8. I just saw this pop up on Steam, and it looked interesting: http://www.ohmstudio.com/ Basically, you can have people edit parts of a project remotely and have it show up instantly (theoretically). I haven't used it yet, so I'm not sure how well it works, but what're all your thoughts on it? You think it'll be a viable option in remix collabs?
  9. As much as I'd like to take charge, I'm definitely not an option for it either, unfortunately. This is my first time that I've gotten seriously involved in OCRemix collaboration, and honestly I have no idea how albums even work here. In other news, I've started breaking down the melodic elements of Banshee, and damn are those xylophone arps tough to pinpoint...
  10. I'm considering doing a remix of Banshee Boardwalk ( ), but depending on how well I can actually make a recognizable mix of such a minimalistic song, I might end up doing Kalimari Desert ( ). I'll probably start messing with some ideas over Christmas break, and if this project ends up not going anywhere I'll just submit anything I make normally.
  11. I'm totally in, though not sure what song I'd remix. Probably something from 64, that's the most nostalgic for me. Also, sorry that I have no links to my stuff in my sig, I just joined this community, and I haven't had time to really focus on my profile because finals.
  12. I had a great (and probably unoriginal) idea over Thanksgiving break - wouldn't it be interesting to do an album of all the K.K. songs fully realized in their own genres? The songs sound great in-game, but I think that they could be made hella more interesting. Is anyone interested in this project?
