  1. Ah, soundtrack perfection, thy name is Bravely Default. Anyway I wanted to request a remix but couldn't decide on a track (they're all so amazing), so decided to go with one of my favorites, and one of the ones not included on the original Japanese OST release. Apparently translates into "The Garden of Distorted Thoughts" or "Distorted Thoughts: That is the Devil King" A decidedly creepy theme, the chaotic melody is enough, but the children happily singing, as the battle theme of a creature named after a god that eats children? Not to mention the Ba'al themselves in-game are just unsettling, the Turtle Dove is a charred turtle dove skeleton with a wedding veil, wreaths, a church in the background, and that roar and child's moan (it could be singing, but I think it's supposed to be a moan) when you select it to fight, they certainly deserve a creepy battle theme. Anyway, I'd heard some great, creepier remixes on the site, and I'd love to hear this join their ranks, guess it's up to the brilliant remixers to decide if they want to try and include the child singing or not.
  2. Still surprised that no one has made any R&C music. Anyway, Heroes Collide ( ) is a fun theme for the final boss, so I figured I'd request it. Alternately, the final boss theme from Tools of Destruction, Vs. Emperor Tachyon ( ) is also an enjoyable final battle theme.
  3. Certainly not bad, and OCRemix definitely needs more Kingdom Hearts lol. The percussion feels a bit too rapid at parts but that might just be me. I do wish there was a little more Dearly Beloved, but it's a pretty good Hikari rock mix otherwise.
  4. I've only played the demo, so I haven't heard all the tracks (I'm pretty sure the track on that Youtube link was in the demo, but even if it wasn't it's a pretty great piece), but already Bravely Default is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Definitely hoping for some remixes to pop up soon!
  5. Seriously, why the bolts don't we have any R&C remixes? It's an iconic franchise, and has an excellent soundtrack. There are plenty of great tunes, but the one currently stuck in my head is All 4 One's theme, so I'll request it. Another track I'd love to hear would be for the Vogal Caves in R&CF: A Crack in Time.
  6. Definitely like it! It's not exactly nightmare-inducing (actually, I'll try playing it in the dark before I fall asleep to test the validity of that conclusion ), but it's still quite enjoyable. Random notes: The ending is great, but it does feel a little drawn out. I kinda disliked 2:20 to 2:40, it felt a bit out of place, but it's forgivable. The opening (0:00-0:40) feels a bit different than the rest of the song, but that's more of an observation than a complaint. Regarding how it compares to the only other Lavender Town remix I've seen on here (which isn't half bad), it does feel a little similar (mostly due to the fact they both use those "ding"-y bells or whatever they're called in the background), but I think I like this one better.
  7. Thanks. Yeah, I hear despite the critics disliking it it's a good game.
  8. I've got the main background music for the Windy Hill levels stuck in my head from the demo (for some reason, it keeps streaming into/remind me of Patrick's song "I made myself a sandwhich, my mommy named it Fred, it tastes like beans and bacon, and smells like it's been dead!" anyone else think so as well?). Anyway, any one want to give it a shot? I'm guessing something a bit faster paced would be fun.
  9. Btw, sorry I missed it, but i finally saw your reply on the Kingdom Hearts remix request thread, and replied.

  10. Sounds great! The only thing is it still sounds a lot like the source. If you want a more unique sound, maybe replace the piano with another instrument. Also, maybe some bells in the background (as bells are used frequently in Organization XII-based songs). If you really want to elaborate, throw in some elements from The Other Promise, but that's not really necessary.
  11. The Kingdom Hearts series is easily my favorite videogame OST of all time, and it's really a shame that there aren't a lot of remixes for it on the site (less than ten). Anyway, there are a number of tracks (and games) I'd love to see, but here are a few that seem most worthy of remixes: First and foremost, from Kingdom Hearts II (and performed in subsequent games) Sanctuary -Opening Version- [known as Passion in the Japanese version] Initially, I didn't care for it, but the song grew on me, and would make great remix material, with its melancholy tone and rhythm, not to mention the backwards lyrics. I don't have anything against male vocalists, but I think a potential remix would sound better and more like the original if there was female lead singer, and in terms of style, something dark ominous, possibly techno, might work well. Second, from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Musique pour la tristesse de Xion One of my favorite themes from the series, Xion's theme is sad and emotional. A "spin-off" song, which played in her final battle, Vector to the Heavens, is also an excellent track (but similar enough that it could be in the same remix). If you, potential remixer, were to make a remix of this track, I'd say go for making it as heart-wrenching as possible. A more serious name, like maybe "Shattered" or something, would go nicely. Thirdly, from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Xehanort This is possibly one of the only character themes I come close to disliking! The original track is slow, subtle, ominous and menacing (I suppose since he's mostly a threat looming in the background, initally?), but it almost feels like it doesn't do the series' main villain the justice he deserves. A hardcore, chilling, forever-haunt-your-nightmares-because-you-set-it-as-your-alarm-and-slept-through-it remix could, though. Including some bits of Xemnas' and/or (better yet!) Terra's them would complete it! A name like "A Most Deadly Madman" or similar would finish the effect. Fourthly from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days Another Side -Battle Version- This song is epic, grand, and one of the best final boss battle themes ever. I leave it to you, potential remixer, to decide what direction to take should it be remixed. Fifthly, from Kingdom Hearts Riku Riku has a theme that reminds me of a storm. That being said, the rendition played in the Kingdom Hearts Piano Collection is even better, being one of (in my opinion) the best tracks in that album. A rocking hardcore remix would be fun. Sixthly, from Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Dismiss An epic combination of Destati and (not sure, but I think) Rage Awakened, this somewhat lesser known song rocks as the background theme for the battle between Aqua and Terra-Xehanortin Radiant Garden.Don't have any real suggestions for this one, I'd just like to see it made... (I'm not going to continue with numbering these, just going with it) Axel is one of my favorite characters from the series, and I was kind of disappointed he didn't have his own theme (though he'll likely be a major character in KH3, so he might get one then). So, a combination of themes to create a fan-made one for him would be fun. The 13th Struggle, The Other Promise (while it is more associated with Roxas, it is played when Axel makes his "promise" so it aught to be included a little bit), and Organization XIII (all three songs from Kingdom Hearts II) would be good sources (the Drammatica rendition of the Organization's multiple themes, The 13th Anthology, also is a good idea). Something both kinda fiery and cold. Little creepiness wouldn't hurt. More coming soon...
