  1. Yeah, I guess that fills up my head with enough info. Thank you very much!
  2. So you are certain that Garageband and Ableton enables you to type in the value? In my case for MixCraft it snaps to uneven numbers. It's really annoying. What do you mean about the screen not being big enough?
  3. Hello there fellows! I've decided to pick up my ambitions to work on vg-music again. I started looking around for ways to make classic 8-bit tunes and stubmled upon Magical 8bit Plugin http://www.ymck.net/english/index.html I want to try to replicate classic tunes to get the hang of it. But I didn't get the "demo"-files (.mid and .mp3) they sent to sound "the same". I can't get the later "bloppy lead" on "track 1" in their tutorial to duplicate the song with the plugin, just right. I am using Mixcraft for the plugin, and I followed all the instructions for making it sound the same. I found this problem (not expecting anyone to be familiar with Mixcraft but...) You can't give it exact values. Is this Mixcrafts fault or the actual plugin? (I've posted that question on their official support forums also. Thanks for helping me... ...or perhaps you will just point me in some other direction altogether. /FireVisor
  4. Yeah, definately has potential. I do agree with the previous comments. The drums, need a break, it would greatly heighten the songs "oomph". Right now, the arrangement is like a constant escalating formula, which does get old too fast. I´d be surprised if this wouldn't make it in, if you give it a little more work. Always liked this tune, btw. Good choice. Keep it up!
  5. Greetings everyone! My name is William, and I have been browsing this site for a few years now. It has always been a source of inspiration, but I am also envying the people here with the talent and determination to give the lovable tunes from the past the shine they originally deserved. I have a dream, something I want to accomplish in this life, and it is to one day contribute with my own remix on this site. I'm familiar with a few different programs, mostly Reason, and I play the guitar regularly. But I often feel crippled, because I can't release the music I hear in my head, due to lack of theory. This is propably because of lack of talent and will, but I am determined to do it one day, even though it will take some time.(Hopefully OCR hasn't been destroyed from natural disasters or the end of the world or anything) Anyway, I'd like to everyone who even read my introduction of myself. Hope to see you out there! /William
