  1. Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra returns to the concert hall next month for two in-person video game music concerts, titled "A Spring Dawn," presented by our full orchestra and choir, and featuring special guest Harmonic Introductions, a vocal ensemble dedicated to the art of overtone singing. The concert will feature music from Warframe, Pokemon Red & Blue, and Halo 5, to name a few. There are two opportunities to see WMGSO and HI perform in person: Saturday, May 7 at 4 p.m. EDT at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring, Md., and again on Saturday, May 14 at 4 p.m. EDT at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Va. Tickets and details: wmgso.org/events.
  2. Hi All! It's been a minute since we checked in here. Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra is back rehearsing and performing in person. We have two VGM concerts coming up in May 2022.

    WMGSO returns to the stage next month for two in-person video game music concerts, titled "A Spring Dawn," presented by our full orchestra and choir, and featuring special guest Harmonic Introductions, a vocal ensemble dedicated to the art of overtone singing. Join us on Saturday, May 7 at 4 p.m. EDT at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring, Md., and again on Saturday, May 14 at 4 p.m. EDT at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Va. General admission tickets are $12 online or $15 at the door. Senior (ages 65+) and student/child discount tickets are available for $9 online or at the door (with the codes SENIOR and STUDENT, respectively). Masking and vaccination required. Washington Metropolitan Gamer Symphony Orchestra fall concert, "New Perspectives," is slated for Sunday, Nov. 18 from 4-6 p.m. at the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Silver Spring, Md. The 100-member orchestra and choir will perform brand new arrangements and, for the first time ever, an original composition inspired by the music from "Dwarf Fortress." Tickets are $10 online.   11. Hello, Folks! Many of you have no doubt heard about the Gamer Symphony Orchestra at the University of Maryland. The WMGSO is something of a post-college successor ensemble, and we're having our premiere concert on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in Rockville, Md. We will take the stage at Rockville High School, 2100 Baltimore Rd. Doors will open at 6:40 p.m. for the 7 p.m. downbeat.
