  1. Thank you! And that's a fair criticism. I tried to vary it enough so that the ear's wouldn't get tired of it, but it's a difficult balance to hit and it varies for each listener. I'm glad, though, that it sounds authentic! I'm working on a companion piece to this one, titled "Hills Combat," which takes primarily from Vandal Hearts as a source of inspiration.
  2. This website includes a bunch of stuff, lots of chipmusic plugins. So far as I know, most of them shouldn't be requiring any special downloaders. I don't know whom you're speaking of, but as far as chiptuning goes, I've used Matt Montag's NES_VST (which you can download from the website) and, unless you want to use the NES's sample channel for anything other than percussion, it should be good for that need. VOPM is cool for Genesis stuff and even lets you import Genesis music files, so if there's a patch you enjoy from a particular Genesis score, you might be able to grab it and use it. And C700 enables much the same thing for the SNES, though it's a little older and sometimes glitches.
  3. Inspired by Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata's Final Fantasy Tactics and Hiroshi Tamawari's Vandal Hearts.
  4. I'm currently working on a Lufia II remix, but Treasure of the Rudras is one of my favorite vgm scores, and I already have some ideas for how a remix of the "Last Battle" tracks might work. No guarantees as to when or even if I ever get around to it, though.
  5. Hello! I am a huge videogame soundtrack fan... indeed, I've enjoyed it so much I've started composing myself. I am still learning a lot but so far I'm pretty decent at it, though my strong suit is definitely melody. My username is Terry93D. And, ah, that's it. Maybe I'll do remixes myself at some point...?
