    Funny. I am replying to this topic 13 years later after the original question was raised. However for anyone still wondering, one of the HOMM4 soundtracks introduces David Arkenstone's ex wife, Diane Arkenstone singing with her distinctive angel like voice, hence the similarity you've spotted. So yes, that was them, it's not a blatant copy. You've found the original author.
