I used to have a friend by the name of Jose Felix, he lived in Brooklyn till about 1999, I haven't seen him since.
-
Just so everyone knows, as of now there's room for one person on the floor in my room.
Yeah, okay, I'll room with a Korean by the last name Cho.

Here's a very short demo of the song norg and I did for the project. It should be enough to get you people to hold out till the release.
-
Sorry, had to represent BRKLYN!

You forget that I have the only key to your anus.

how can you push back a bunch of mp3s that just sounds like laziness taking hold of ya
Yeah, you're right, they're just being lazy. It's not as if they have torrents, mirrors, sites, promotions, testing and their lives to deal with.

The insane fanboy-ism is making me sick.
"HOLD OUR PPL! JUST 1 MOR DAY!!!

I just heard the entire project, it's actually good!

Hah! I kind of welcome this short delay. If gave norg and I to do some more work on our song. We haven't had much time at all to work on this, and even on the finished project it'll be released in demo form, though we don't really plan on doing any more work on it after the projects release.
Anyway, the track sounds much better now, if anyone cares, and now comes the hard part of waiting and seeing how this huge project will be received.

Sorry Mr.Kimura, but it's not worth the wait.

Wow, I didn't know anybody knew about Corporate Avenger! I love their stuff!
SnappleMan: Considering the song is made up of guitar and a few synths, yes it IS all fake. But I am sending a file to some inetrested fellows so that real guitars can be placed into the mix.
Believe me when I say I spent many hours trying to incorporate the whole song, but I left out those parts because they just didn't fit in at all with the song. If you notice Wingless' "Godspeed" mix, he doesn't use those parts either, because they just don't work well outside of their original context.
As for the vocals, I have said it before in this thread. It is merely opinion whether the lyrics are good or not. Also, I didn't fix the timing on the current version, so it sin't really matched up to the music yet.
The other parts of the song DO fit, you just have to know how to make em fit.

WEll, the sm57 is primarily used as an instrument mic, the sm58 is better suited for vocals. But again, it depends. Most of the vocals you've heard in albums, movies and other recordings are done on those big condenser mics, the ones that cost about $5000+. If you're looking into condenser mics you're opening a whole 'nother can of worms.
But for what you want to do, a Shure sm58 is perfect for you.

When using it as a send you have to mute the volume of the original track.

While the lyrics are badly sung and written, they can be worked on, the bigger problem is the sound of the song. The sounds you've chosen all sound lifeless and blatantly fake.
Although I do somewhat like the arrangement, you've left out big parts of the original song that made it really good, so you really should re-arrange the song to include all of the original in some form, otherwise you'll be left with a song that's halfway decent and not really interesting.
The vocal style you've chosen to sing in doesn't work, and the lyrics break rhythm and are very badly written. You write everything literally, there's nothing clever going on. You need to find more creative ways to express yourself vocally because otherwise it ends up sounding extremely cheesy and bad.

To have a successful project you should build up your reputation musically. Either as a good critic of music or as a musician. Then you can build contacts and have yourself a social network of musicians who you could personally ask.
If you just go ahead and start a project without knowing the community and having some "big hitters" to ask for songs, all you'll be left with will be relatively inexperienced musicians who will either give you poor quality work or no work at all. And if you get me on board, you'll get poor quality work, more likely none at all, and a really bad attitude.

Hahahaha, this needs so much more than just feedback.
This track is completely lacking in the layering department. The arrangement is weak and thin, the "beetz omg" you added do absolutely nothing to hide the lack of musical competence. What I mean is, you need to add an extra level of complexity.
Experiment with layers of instruments that are consistently used in the song, and ones that come in and out of the song. Write some basslines that add character to the song, add some harmonies. The techno/trance/house/crap style you're going for now sucks (yes, I said it sucks, because the genre sucks, eat dicks, all of you), consider adding some elements of other genres in here so that you have a more solid foundation and then you can add in cooler lead sections and more exciting chord progressions without it sounding off.
My best advice is to start over, what you have now doesn't work at all, and if you want to take all my advice above it's best to restart. But I know you wont, you'll end up going this route, finishing it and submitting a total turdbomb like all the other countless NO's in the judging forum.

I am holding on to the fighting theme to add some finishing touches, I could theoretically hold on to it past the deadline and in turn push the project back.
Totally contemplating doing this just to piss people off.

It might be this delicious ice cream sandwich talking, but that seems like a decent enough idea. Good luck!

Don't get discouraged, but this isn't really impressing me as far as what I think should be the focus of a drum tutorial. Teaching people your theory on beats will only make everyone sound more similar than they already do. Instead why not focus on proper mixing and the role of the drum kit within a song structure?

that one
Actually, that's not good, because you don't have enough length. Your best bet is to get a combination of cables. First, get this:

And then you get this:

The Rokits take a 1/4" input, so this is the best option aside from getting a mixer.

yes, but won't that just give me two mono speakers?
You get a Y cable. Stereo Phono -> 2 Male RCA.

You have an encountered a problem with which SnappleMan cannot help you. Please contact your internet vendor to resolve this conflict.

Why do you care? I mean, every company that programs EQ VST plugins probably has their own algorithms and schematics. But, if it's anything like analogue EQs, it's a simple matter of adding or subtracting voltage.

Yeah, the OST had about 85 tracks, out of which only 4 were good.
