  1. I... um. The sound quality isn't an issue as much as the 'There's nothing new in this' issue. I mean, really. All this guy really did was put two songs together, change the rhythm a tiny bit (very tiny bit), and then record it. I'd rather listen to the original songs; Oh, and of course, the hydrocity zone segment at the begining is completely out of sync with the drums from metropolis zone. Then he fortunately changes it, but he just didn't do anything else other than put the actual drums from the original hydrocity zone on(completely de-railing whatever he was doing since it sounds entirely different). Very rough transitions, too many abrupt changes, no structure at all. On the bright side, it's not as ugly as that recent sandopolis remix. I suppose that even the best samples (or downright playing it live) wouldn't have made much of a difference when the core arrangement is really lacking.
  2. Well, sorry I didn't go into a 7 page long dissection of the song just to say I didn't like it. I think it saves us all time and page space if I'm just bluntly objective.
  3. How this got accepted is beyond me, but then again, not like getting accepted means anything nowadays.
  4. Well.. I don't know. It's not anything revolutionary, the clock bit was genius, but everything ELSE was completely standard and not really anything that I would listen to twice. If he had only taken the clock idea further and developed on it, rather than drowning it in fuzzy techno noise. Ah well.
  5. An OK remix, of an apparently excellent song. You know, for it being in techno-ish vibes, it's actually very melodicish... You know what it reminds me of sort of? Rise of the Triad. ..with rtype. Odd, yes, but some of the harmonic shiftings that this thing does I've heard there. Nice all over, though... you know, it'd have been nice if it used a little more variation on those drums, though they're OK. It's an interesting drum beat, sure, but now that I listen to it more, you could've really used some variation on it. Other than that vague suggestion, it's neat, but I wouldn't keep it around for long.
  6. Well! For starters, I'd like to say that this is one of my favourite mixes on this site. Even if it's Techno, and I hate techno. I owned this game in actuality, therefore, I remember the songs clearly, and this does a great thing with them. The transitions work wonderfuly well, and everything links correct. And, oh, excuse me, but that thing is NOT a fugue. It's not even in counterpoint, much less is it anything like a fugue at all. Hell, it doesn't even look like one unless you don't know what a fugue is-sounds like. Besides this, I believe that this remix covers more than one theme, but it works really really well in going places, enough not to bore me superquick (which most techno does). Good work, thumbs up!
  7. I don't see actually cammy's theme in this... Sort of. I see some of the harmony used in it, but that's about it. On the other hand, if you ignore that it has almost nothing to do with Cammy's theme, it's actually a great song. Actually, man, I think you could easily pass this off as a Streets Of Rage based song, since it's in more that style than Street Fighter. At least that's what it reminded me of. In fact, it'd probably be better passed of as a 'Vaguely based on' song... Hell, actually, I'd say that it sounds like a completely original song, vaguely inspired on cammy's song! Anyhow, great work, and that sax upscaling thing reminds me of a stage in Alex Kidd in Shinobi world. Excellent stuff.
