  1. Yeah, SH2 could have something to do with Samael still kinda lingering there, but the game really just serves to show that the town is still messed up between the years of SH1 and SH3. I think that James is so screwed in the head that he sees all the scary stuff. Like Eccles said, look at Angela.

  2. Well, also about Laura, besides her being hella annoying, was that Mary wanted to adopt her. I guess that is the only connection there. Eddie and Angela were in SH for their past crimes, and Laura was there because of her future could-have-been involvement with James and Mary.

  3. I'd hafta say.. When you fight those four fiends in a row in the giant in FF2. God damn! I quit the game cause of them. I got to the Water Guy and get my ass whooped.

Nah, they were easy as long as you hit Rubicant with Ice3 and Kainazzo with Bolt3 to do 9999 damage. Take those out quick enough and you should be okay for Milon and Valvalis.

  4. Same as usual, 50 hours on a first go.

I have yet to see a game that can be finished any shorter if you want to do all the side quests... (although... I still have that freaky card player quest and the chocobo quest to do.)

Eh, I wanna say I beat Wild Arms in under 40, and I took down every secret monster and got all the good stuff.

  5. 1.Shadow Link from Legend of Zelda2: Links quest was pretty fricken vicious. I thought the blue armored knights are bad and now comes this guy after I went all the way through the temple and fight the thunderbird just to get killed.....

What, it's hard to duck in the lower left corner and smash the B button over and over again? Heheh.

But yeah, I tried beating this guy "normally" at first too, and got my ass totally handed to me.

That works? Seems like he always blocked my low shots.

  6. Jason, Friday the 13th on nes. did anyone evey beat him without game genie?

Well, you can kinda kill him, as in make him disappear from whatever cabin you find him in. But since he isn't the real 'boss' of the game, you just sort of play with him for a while until you get to his mother.

  7. Any and all of the bosses out of Wizards & Warriors II: Ironsword for the NES.

That game is so hard! I've spent many an hour in my youth in front of the TV trying to beat that damn cloud thing, but I never had the book to the game so I had no idea how.

I think the cloud thing is the final boss because I used a code once that was supposed to take you right to him. Regardless I could never hurt the bugger...

  8. Escorting the stupid AWAC in Robotech BattleCry.....I feel so ashamed. Also in XenoGears..its been awhile..but I got to the ship thats in the openings animation..fought some bad guy..used up all my fuel..then was forced to fight another boss after that..and since i was out of fuel..I died ....god I'd like to beat that game..but i gotta find it to buy it :(

(had to give it back to the guy he borrowed it from then he moved the bastard)

Any tips for anyone that knows what im talking about :P

Are you talking about Deus and then the other boss after him after the long dialogue?

  9. i think that kefka, or sephy get coolest boss, but that's not this topic, so i think the hardest boss would have to be the ultimate slime thingy at the end of that long assed dungeon. if i remember correctly, you have to kill him in like 3 or so turns, or he runs away or sumthin lame like that. next would have to be the ultimate dragon from the same game. the one u fight if you collect its eggs or sumthin like that. with 65,565 hp, he has like the largest amount of hp a character can possibly have in an snes game. i spent hours devising strategies to kill him, so i wouldn't have to check the internet. turns out that after many frustratingly hours of devising, i came up with the same strategy as the one i compared it to online. so meh.

on a different topic, the most annoying boss is definetly gotta be doom gaze from FFVI. >_< you have to fly around until you get in a fight with him, and he runs away like a pansy after like 10000 dmg. forcing yet another 5-10 minutes of random flying to find him! >_<

*just remembered that GODDAMN CHEAP ASS boss in the arena that randomly uses a move that blows you out of the battle...*

Yeah, Chupon. He is not supposed to be beaten though. Even with Locke equipped with Zephyr Capes and uber-high evade that sneeze attack is unavoidable.

  10. I've seen plenty of mentions for Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, but I guess since I play them a whole lot whenever I go to where I have my old NES, I can beat those two games fairly easy now. I haven't seen anyone mention Ninja Gaiden 3 though. That game was a lot harder than both of the others. I've actually gotten to the final boss(at least I hope it is), and he beat me. The only time I ever got to him. First of all the last stage is about as long as the final stages in the first two games combined, so once you get to the boss, you might be able to have half your life left. Then, if I remember correctly, he just sort of flies around the room and hits you with this lightning attack that I couldn't dodge. Got him down to about half life though, so many one day...
