Thanks for lookin out fishy. I read it all very carefully so I know. You have to sign an affidavit of eligibility and public release form and all that jazz. I was careful not to submit anything that I might actually use but this song fit the bill, thanks all for the encouraging comments!

Liontamer posted about that contest on kongregate and I procrastinated about checking it out. Anyway I do compose and write music that has no electronic elements to it. I am also capable of making something that isnt "BOOM SS BOOM SS BOOM SS BOOM SS"

aah ok, well tal tal is high tempo track but i can make it work.
i have vsl special edition (which is the vst version and the most recent edition of their samples) so i dont have to deal with gigastudio. opus 1 and 2 might still be around to buy for cheap and you can use those in kontakt 2 and up and you dont need the performance tool. giga is a pain....

yea i got vsl special, ive had it for 2 years.
honestly the special edition is what you need and its only good for certain things. the solo instruments are worth the ticket price mainly because of the legato intervals. But to truly get full quality in a mockup you need a combination of libraries including ewqlso and symphobia at this point. they all have their strengths and weaknesses and if you cleverly mix it and do it properly people will be left with a ?? over their heads haha. Ive tried soooo many different things with the libraries and I have come up with a great system that works. Anyway, so you are saying as long as its mellow? so when you say rock you mean as in no death distortion right? Beats that dont slam you in the face? The closest style I can think of for this combinatin is musashi hamazua on dirge of cerberus (just the ambient orchestra he does) Can you throw me a WIP or and example so I dont waste time?

don't worry dude. there is an entire side of bLiNd most people don't know about. I actually do compose orchestra, rock, and ambient and produce it all. I have spent insanes amount of money on sample collections (anything big I have it) I have tons of music no one has heard in every style but dance. Anyway Tal Tal would NOT work for any of my normal remix styles anyway. I do want to get sixto in on the track though

Hey, nice bLiNd mix - I love it when he posts things in the WIP forums (He did this with another sonic song, not too long ago).
EDIT: Actually, bLiNd, some of the harmonies really clash with the textures your using towards the end, making me cringe a little. Otherwise, it's a great mix... Sorry, I couldn't help myself - it's the WIP forum, after all
.Hey thanks! Yea that last part was quick just to cover the source. I planned on redoing that part as more of a chorus section with a different sound, so its kind of rushed.

hey bro, it sounds good and i definately hear the white skies stuff but remember that riff in the breakdown thats in the 6th octave or so is actually from the original gagazet theme, i didnt write that for the remix
I guess my advice is to do a low cut on the lead, it becomes a little overbearing and clashes with the low mids (partly bass drum mostly bass) keep it up man you have advanced so much in the past year!

ha! yeah this definitely really damn good reminds me of white skies but x20,000! i really like the intro and the side chained choir's plus with the chopped up vox sample jus tops it all. Avaris is right your starting to sound more and more like Oceanlab in a good way! My favorite part is at 3:19-4:44 im jus a sucker for trance arps i cant help it. Your style is evovling and im trying to keep up lol. Its funny i havent been able to wirte any music for a long while but when I heard you new stuff man it gave me back my mojo thanks man i owe you one. On a side note im still mad that i couldnt come to mag to meet you and Jade but dont worry we all gonna bump into each other well man keep at it hope to hear from you soon! i have something new in the works when its complete i will pass it on to you and Jade.

I really enjoyed this! Its surprisingly subtle considering everything else I've heard from you. I mean, I can tell a lot of work went into it, the sound you crafted is almost like.. chillectro (if I can feel free to make up a genre for it haha). It's really cool anyways

There is a register button at the top right of the beatportal page which will take you to the beatport.com register page. Once you have an account you can log in and "spin" my track which votes for it, leave comments, etc. It might be a hassle but the cause is worthy!

Jordan. As much as I appreciate how much care you put into your detailed work, I don't think I can ever swallow 99% of the Depeche Mode remixes out there. Good work, but this isn't my cup of tea.
