  1. OK, wishlist is perhaps the wrong name... Make it 'suggestions' then.

    I'll enjoy any gift that is sent my way, regardless of value. As I said, it's the act of giving which warms my heart! As long as the giver enjoyed preparing the gift, everything is fine with me...

  2. Here's my wishlist:

    * Surprise me! I'm kind of a nerd, I like pixel art, chiptunes and anything retro.

    * My Steam wishlist is here. I'll also be happy if I get other games. I'm more of an FPS guy but I can also enjoy other well made games. Roguelikes (or anything procedurally generated) are a special kind of attraction to me! I like the concepts of perma-death and non-repeating levels

    * If you want to gift something video game related, I'm kind of a Nintendo guy, although I also own a XBox360 and a PC (obviously). I'm also considering getting myself a PS4...

    * Music... I like the electronic styles. BT is one of my favourites. Then there's of course much love for some resident musicians like zircon, Jillian Aversa and Big Giant Circles (all of whose kickstarter campaigns I backed)

    * Movies: Anything really. LotR is my favourite movie ever, but then there's also anything Pixar, Matrix, Blade, Batman... Too many to watch. Sigh...

    * Please don't make it too expensive! It's the act of giving that counts. And you still have to pay shipping to Germany (sorry for that)

  3. Another lurker here...

    Participated in last year's Secret Santa, which was GREAT. Count me in! Someone has to represent Europe, right? ;-P

    Although I will not have as much time to prepare a gift as I had last year... Well, let's wait and see.

    Looking forward to this! Are we supposed to post suggestions here?

  4. Thank you for your answer. Consider my pledge upped!

    Now I'm looking forward to this album even more! Will throwing money at my screen get me your album any faster? It doesn't seem to work here... Well, I'll have to wait, me thinks.

    And cheese? Not chocolate? I mean, COME ON! CHOCOLATE! (I'm bad at humor)

    EDIT:

    Just saw BT as an artist for the extended album... WOW! Please let him be a real guest artist. Please?

  5. I'm quite surprised I don't see the Kickstarter for "Video Games Live Level 3" here:

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1916334303/video-games-live-level-3-game-composers-of-the-wor

    They are looking to fund production of their 3rd album (studio album this time). Tommy Tallarico seems to be having quite a few guests this time around, among others Jillian and Andrew Aversa (pixietricks and zircon) and BT. OC ReMix itself seems to have a track on it's own for a bonus CD...

    Anyways, pledge away! Make it happen!

  6. Damn, that was an expensive week! All those reduced prices do really stack up...

    Here's my basket:

    * The elder Scolls 5: Skyrim Legendary Edition

    * Psychonauts

    * Borderland 2 Season Pass

    * Saints Row 3: The full package

    * Fallout 3 GOTY

    * Fallout New Negas GOTY

    * Mirror's Edge

    * The elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion GOTY Deluxe

    All in all that is more than 90 USD in games. That will have to do 'til Winter (when the next sale will be)

    Cheers, Jandalf

  7. Hey there,

    I'd like to have my nickname changed, too.

    From now on I shall be known as "Jandalf"! ...please?

    Cheers, Jandalf (formerly known as NinjaN)

    EDIT:

    Hey, no fair... Cash got his name change and I'm still waiting? ;-)

    Is there some restriction I didn't catch?

    EDIT AGAIN:

    Name change applied. Thank you, Liontamer!

  8. Sounds good, although I can't remember ever hearing it before.

    Just scanned through my library, I do not have a tagged copy of this track. I looked at all tracks from the game "Castlevania" for the NES which are around 3 minutes long. Nothing sounded like that track. Also, I don't remember that style of music...

    All I can help you with is that this song seems not to ever have been officially hosted here...

    Cheers, NinjaN

  9. When I'm playing any 'Legend of Zelda' game, I always name my character Link. Who else would come up with that name? ;-P

    On a more serious note, my friends find it quite weird I have an obsession for RogueLikes. I like the ... well, randomness of these games. Also, the concept of permadeath really helps creating a certain 'fear' of dieing in these games. I have not won any of the games I played in the last 4 years, but I'm slowly becoming better at not killing myself with stupidity!

    Cheers, NinjaN

  10. Okay well I opened it. And I can't believe how well you hit the nail right on the head:

    I love handmade artsy stuff like this, first of all, so getting some handmade pixel art fabric was amazing. But Link's Awakening was the first Gameboy game I ever owned--this game gives me so much nostalgia. This is really amazing-one of the most meaningful gifts I've ever gotten. You've outdone yourself--thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!

    So glad you like it! I really wanted to make this, had already decided on the motive before our giftees were even announced. When I saw your wishes I just knew this would fit.

    It was also one of my first and favourite GameBoy games, so it was quite a natural pick for me. Back in the days I used to sit in my room with a magnifying glass and count those pixels. It is so much easier with emulators and screenshots these days...

    Perhaps this inspires you to make a remix based on this game... hint hint ;-P

    Happy holidays, NinjaN

  11. sorry bout the double post, but holy deutsche post! I just got a package from Germany. Let's see what it is...

    OH because I'll want to hang it up in my apartment and I wont be at my apartment for christmas!

    Well, I'm quite a mile aways, so I couldn't stop you... You naughty boy! ;-P

  12. that is some seriously awesome stuff you got NinjaN!

    someone remind me to sign up for this next year, I'm feeling the itch to start buying gifts for people with money I don't have :-P

    Yes, it is!

    And as some others have proven, you don't need money to give a great gift! You still can make great things with very little money, which is also my chosen route...

  13. So, I just have to update you on the things gifted to me:

    First, there was Cave Story+ on Steam.

    Next, I received a package containing the book "Wer die Nachtigall stört..." (To kill a Mockingbird) by Harper Lee.

    And then there's a donwload code for zircon's really great "Identity Sequence" wating here in my Inbox

    So, THANK YOU very much, Secret Santa GravitySuitCollector! Hope you got some nice presents too and have a great holiday!

    Cheers, NinjaN

  14. I generally don't do "New years resolutions" but there're some things I'd like to do in the next year:

    * continue going to the gym, finally get a sixpack (which is not beer)

    * go out more often

    * get a girlfriend

    * learn how to play the flute

    * be there for my frinds

    * get more involved in some communities (like this one)

    These are not ordered or complete...

    Cheers, NinjaN

  15. Christmas Eve is December 24th (technically the full day). Christmas Day is December 25th. If you're Norwegian, December 23rd is Lille Julaften (or Little Christmas Eve). :D

    That's... irritating. To each his own, I guess ;-P

    And to all the people who just sent their gift...

    My will most surely arrive the latest, it has to cross that great pond between you people and me. I don't think Santa's doing an extra shift for me, although I've been a nice boy ;-(

  16. Got my gift ready and shipped it this morning. I have no idea how long it takes, though... Hope it will be there for Christmas!

    btw, when do you people actually open the presents?

    Here, the evening of the 24th is "Weihnachten". Christmas Eve is the morning after, isn't it?

    Whenever my gift gets delivered, I won't open it befeore "Weihnachen", I promise... ;-P

    Cheers, NinjaN
