Why don't you simply buy the Wii LAN adapter? It's cheaper than the USB WiFi dongle and it doesn't need your PC... I have both the USB WiFi Connector (original from Nintendo) and the Wii Lan adapter. The latter is the better solution, at least for me... As I understand it, you have a wired network atm, right? NinjaN

Well, the old Wii thread had more than 300 pages, but this one is also a... On a side note, if you enjoyed Half-Life 2 on the PC and like the WiiMote, check out THIS MOD! It allows you to play Half-Life 2 on the PC using the WiiMote as an input device! Aiming is done via the WiiMote while the crowbar is swung (?) with the Nunchuk! Very cool way to replay this great game! It's only a beta release but I didn't have any errors... I just suggest using the Bluetooth-stack called "BlueSoleil" as it seems to work best with this mod... NinjaN

WOOHOO! Finally got the Wii-LAN-thing today! Works like a charm... Now the only thing missing is online-enabled games (this means you, Mario Strikers...) Will there be some kind of tournament here? Although it will have to be seperated by continent according to latest news... On another note, surfing with the Wii is great but posting stuff is a BITCH! Well, waiting for the Wii-board...

Hey, thank you! Not to criticise, but for the wallpaper I would like to have pictures of the whole Mii, like with body... And it would be cool if the pictures themselves are as big as possible and in gif-format. The extra step on your people's side would be to already cut the Mii out of the background, so I don't have to... gif-files may have a transparent background, so composing the final image would be a lto easier for me... I will update the first post with this info as well.

But what about the movement of the cursor? As I understand it, the sensor bar is important for aiming. The WiiMote calculates it's movement from the relative position of the two IR-LEDs (in the sensor bar) and translates that to the movement of the cursor in the screen... So does a bigger screen mean bigger movements? I didn't see any configuration option for "screen size", so my guess is that the Wii always calculates with a default screen size... So a movement of the WiiMote would result in a bigger movement of the cursor. Did I get it wrong or am I completely off?

My Wii is connected to a videoprojector, and what you see is a picture of the screen directly displayed on a wall. And of course, I needed to be below in order to hide my head. What is it like to play the Wii over a beamer? Does it work like it's supposed to? I'm considering buying a beamer, as my room is quite high... And I'd love to watch TV and DVDs on a screen of at least 3 metres... Anyways, back to topic, guys. I want to see more Miis! For the wallpaper, I would do the Photoshop work (actually using The GIMP), but before, there would have to be some "submission guidelines" or something... Should we try to make one, or are there not enough people interested in something like that...?

As I understand it, this "Mii parade" thing is something that only shows other people's online Mii wandering around... Could have gotten it completely wrong, though. I am not yet online with my Wii "World of MiiCraft" could be fun, too! btw, it's nice to see some of the "big names" here! I like the idea of the WiiMote speaker... Should have been a better quality, though. There are just two things I miss: 1) a mp3 channel 2) the ability to save screenshots from within the Home menu Somebody knows where I can tell the Big N about these issues?

I connected the Wii to my TV card in my computer... It's a bitch to control since my PC faces away from my TV, so aiming with the WiiMote is really difficult... Picture quality is... meh... stupid interlaced TV signal just doesn't look good on TFTs... As I have written in the original Wii thread, a "Screenshot-function" in the Wii's Home menu is desperately needed! Anyone knows where to tell Nintendo? EDIT: Just finished my very first celebritiy Mii! Can you guess who this is?

Well, if you don't have (access to) a Wii, you could always use the Mii Flash Creator made by "mooz"... It's quite near the original thing, and taking screenshots is far easier!

Hello everybody, I really wonder why nobody else thought about this until now... We definitely need a thread to post our Miis! So here it is: The quite official "Post your Mii" thread! For a start, what I would like to see here is the following: your Mii (obviously) some reference photo perhaps some "celebrity Mii" If more than just some people are interested in it, we could also make a massive Wallpaper from all the Miis in this thread, something like the "official OC Remix UnMod Wallpaper" (for those who remember...) So, I will make the first step: My Mii:_______________________The real Mii: I think I've gotten it quite right... So, what does your Mii look like? Time to show off! Edit: I created some submission guidelines for the wallpaper! These are as follows: Any kind of Mii is allowed. This includes your personal avatars, celebrity Miis, fantasy creations and everything else. Please submit only your own art! Everybody submitting not his own creations will be completely banned from the wallpaper! Make the pictures of the Miis as large as possible. The bigger the better! Your whole Mii should be viewable, with body. (optional) Cut out the Mii from the background and submit it in a gif-file with transparent background. This way I don't have to do it... Post the image(s) you would like to submit in this thread. I will collect them and show you the progress of the wallpaper from time to time... Only thing I don't know yet: Which resolution should the final image have? I myself have the desktop running at 1028x1024 pixels. Should I make it this size or are more people using other resolutions?
