  1. In my class, we're using Cakewalk Home Studio 2 to create an audio collage using various clips my teacher pilfered from the internet. I was wondering how/if I could assign the audio to the MIDI keyboard? So that i'd be able to either a) control the various audio clips from different keys (and when i record, it'll place the clips at the points I trigger) or B) assign one audio clip to the keyboard for easy pitch shifting and placement.

Is this possible or is it a pipe dream?

  2. You know, i was thinking the same thing.

I've been watching the DL counter for a while now. When we got close to being the most downloaded project, all of a sudden KiC started shooting up. I just thought it was a bit funny.

Well, now we're the most downloaded site project, with 13,162 downloads from the torrent alone.

Nice work, guys. :D We keep on truckin.

  3. Months later, this mix is still amazing. I'd go so far as to say it's possibly one of the best songs this site has to offer. The vocals are amazing and sit perfectly, the track production is authentic and catchy...there's little to hate about this song.

I'm waiting for more from Robby (that Eurobeat mix was sounding hot)...he's definitely one of the few mixers I look forward to hearing MUCH more from.

  4. Actually I am using audio clips. How would I go about doing that then? The only work about I've found is automating the volume so the start of the sample doesn't play.

I believe somebody was talking about using the playlist to chop and slice up their samples over in another thread not too long ago. Hopefully they shall read this and illuminate the matter for us.

that was me. yea, just drop the audio clip into the playlist, find the part you want cut, and cut it using the "razor thingie". use the grid snaps to make the cutting a bit easier.
