    Pop open your computer case (assuming this is a desktop) and see if your video card is fit into the slot correctly. The card might be overheating as well, so clean any dust out of its fan.

    It didn't made any difference. Any other ideas?

    Desktop with Intel core 2 duo 6600.

    Video card: nvidia 7300 GS

    Dual booting vista and xp

    A few days ago while running vista my dreamscene background stopped working and I got message saying "display drivers not responding" and dreamscene was disabled. And as I restarted the screen started shaking during boot up sequence. I logged onto xp and there didn't appear to be any display issue there. But while running a particular program I noticed display issues in xp as well.

    The words don't show up properly unless I hover mouse over them and highlight them.

    The problem appears to be getting worse especially in vista where every 20 minutes or so few I get a blue screen displaying a lot of numbers and saying something about "video dump" and then the computer restarts. I googled this problem online and tried a number of solutions like updating display drivers or applying windows hotfix but none of the solutions have worked so far. And since this problem is occuring in two different operating systems, I have an uneasy feeling that this might be a hardware issue. Is that the case? The computer is only about a year old.

    I have encountered a problem with my ps3. For some reason the controller seems to work fine when I am playing games, but the controller stops responding when I press the playstation button on the controller. I tried resetting my controller a number of times, but nothing seems to be working. The controller doesn't work even when it is connected directly to ps3 through a wire. I googled for this problem and a number of other users have also encountered this problem. But I wasn't able to find any solution online. Has anyone here dealt with this type of problem before?

    Can anyone get PS3 media center to work? I have tried mulitple softwares (nero media home, WMP11, media center X etc.) but none of them seem to be working. Is there any decent tutorial out there for it?

    So with PS3 price drop I went ahead and purchased one for myself. I wasn't originally planning to get a PS3 this year since the type of games I like aren't out yet. But since it runs F@H, I went ahead get got one. PS3 runs and finishes with protien stimulations at 1/3rd the time that my computer does. Quite fast.

    Oh, and some people have now started utilizing this project as a business. This website offers computers for hire to people so that people can get points boost to themselves or their teams. Kind of strange. But in the end, it's still contributing to science.

    That sucks. He had a good career before the murders suicide, why can't they just remember the athlete and try to forgive the murderer?

    This move is part of damage control that WWE is trying to do as stockholders are probably unhappy with this incident. Also tribute show for Benoit was disrespectful at least for family of Benoit's wife.

    It's interesting that yesterday evening on WWE website they had a picture of Benoit smiling with the news that Benoit had passed away. But as more information was revealed that this was a double murder suicide case, they changed his picture to Benoit frowning and looking all intense and angry.

    The tribute show for Benoit was just as emotional for me as the tribute show for Eddie a few months ago. I was teary eyed throughout the show but the WMXX match towards the end where both Benoit and Eddie hug and celebrate in joy made me loose my composure.

    And now all this news regarding how the whole affair is a case of double murder suicide (from WWE website) is quite disturbing and confusing. Most of the wrestlers did mention how Benoit was such a private man. I really hope it's not true that Benoit murdered his wife and seven year old son.

    Need info on home theater systems

    I have been researching about info on Home theater systems for a while now, and since this is my first time shopping for HTS, there are certain pieces of information that are still confusing to me. For e.g., this system appears to be a little bit superior to this one in some of the specifications, and yet the price of sony product is about $100 more. Also, I noted that in sony product specifications sheet, it is marked that there is no DTS decoder and as well as no Dolby Pro logic decoder. Aren't these two areas important in a surround sound system?

    In general, what kind of product details should I take into consideration when shopping for a home theater system? Also, are there any products that any of you would recommend? My budget is about $500.

    Any input is appreciated.
