  1. I would have to agree on that. It seems to me that they originally have a back bounce already to cancel moving forward, yet this wavebouncing just contributes more in canceling out moving forward by using the c-stick.

I'm still gonna use it with Lucas =)

  2. I'm not trying to say he's an idiot. I just wanted to point out that his argument against Brawl can be exactly the same for No More Heroes. Even more so. No More Heroes was a Beat-em-up where one button and swinging the wiimote was all it took to beat the game. I'm not joking either, I really did beat it that way. Of course, it was fun while I was doing it. I just don't like him making that argument.

  3. I'm fine if he does not find Brawl better than No More Heroes, that is OK by me. It is his point on saying "That type of game — less brains and more thumb callouses — isn't what I enjoy playing." His reference that you do not need any strategy in Brawl can be true. But I found myself having no plan of attack in No More Heroes MUCH more than in Brawl.

You can argue that No More Heroes is better because of its visual design, its story telling, and even its game play. But you can NOT argue that Brawl is a bigger button masher than No More Heroes. It is just not possible in a game where there is two buttons of attack (four if you count High and Low), a grab, and a finishing move. Brawl has an attack in four direction for two buttons, a grab, a shield, mid-air attacks, and items. So all I ask from him is that he makes a better argument than "HEY BRAWL IS FOR FOUR YEAR OLDS."

  4. He said Brawl is a bigger button masher than No More Heroes.

Now, I've played and beat both games (unlocked most things in brawl) to know that this man must find a hula hoop the pinnacle of fun. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED No More Heroes, it's just that the amount of replay in No More Heroes is close to nil once you unlock everything. (getting that last beam Katana made me work awhile on killing the same respawning people in the same small square. The ending is worth it though.)

I'm sure I'll STILL be playing Brawl when the NEXT installment of Smash Brothers comes out.

  5. I have a technical question. I'm trying to join #clanocr, but no matter what it has problems connecting. I'm pretty sure I'm just being blocked out of it. Do you guys know a good way to get by this? I was thinking of using a proxy, but I do not know which one to use.

  6. Also, Snake is badass.

It took you THIS long to figure that out?

Oh, and yea I use the wavebirds I got, they feel a lot more natural probably because I've been playing with them for 4 years. I find the Nun chuck w/ Wiimote a lot better than just Wiimote though.

  7. I unlocked everyone and I'm so happy I'm the best with Lucas. It's so awesome I'm the greatest with my favorite character. I also am actually good with more than two people, which is really refreshing that I'll be able to change it up and still be good. Now I just need to unlock all of the stages.

  8. Yea, I was thinking of getting it as well so I could own it myself, yet I just realized I'm going to wait for the inevitable Xtreme version of it, and mooch off my friends game till it comes out.

  9. My roommate got DW 6. You'll be pleasantly surprised just about all the stuff you loved in the older DW's are still around.

A major change is the actual attacking. There is a gauge called renbu now, it goes up when you combo a lot. The higher the renbu the more attacks get added to your combo. The feel of DW is still there, so don't worry about it too much. It feels pretty natural, yet the chaining between X and Triangle is gone. You just pick the light attack or the heavy attack. Pretty sweet trick they added is to attack while you're blocking, if it hits you combo a single guy for a ton of damage.

Weapon's are about the same, but you get 3 different types; attack, standard, and Skill. All are affected by your renbu (Example: If you have an Attack weapon, when your renbu goes up, your attack goes up. Skill is speed, and standard is weapon reach.)

Another different thing is character level up. Instead of getting stats from officers, you get XP. Which when you level up you get stat boost. they also added a sphere grid kinda thing where you get skills and some stat boosts.

Oh, and horses level up now, yea, your horse.

  10. Well, I'm gonna bump this to keep it up as well.

I doubt I would be able to talk to you guys on skype, my computer and Wii are in a different room =(.

On another note, does anyone want to play some PS3 Call of Duty 4 with me? Any time with me is alright.

Edit 2: I just found out about the OCR club in steam, so I'm gonna add you guys that I remember playing some Mario Kart with.

Edit: I try to get on to the IRC with ChatZilla, yet it says the connection times out every time I try. Any suggestions?

  11. I am PUMPED for this.

The only way they could ruin this is if they have Shia LaBeouf around more than Harrison Ford. LaBeouf is not a bad actor, but I just believe Ford is much better.

Oh, and heart ripping, head-exploding, and rapid degeneration death would be a plus.

  12. OK. Truth time. When I first saw this name, I thought it would be just another one of those brain training games thats been flooding the market. So I naturally just wasn't going to buy it, yet from what I hear from here and there that it is a fun game. I might just have to go get this game upon further study.

    (Right after Apollo Justice =D)

  13. Alright I beat this on mild just yesterday. The game is pretty short if you try to run through it, It took me only three days to beat, yet I did log in 14 hours(1/6 of the three days) I loved the music, just really sweet beats and the 8 bit musics is what boosts it even further. I loved the way it all just played out, from the stylized graphics and just plain craziness from bosses. Getting money is a hassle until the very end. Most missions were way far away from the Assassination HQ. It took about a Minuit or two to get to the place, some missions were shorter than that. It's only until latter in the game you get a mission where you have a mission that's close to the HQ. The mission was also the most paying so it was rather lucky. Game play is good in my opinion, I think its the fact that you can swing the wii-mote again while you are slowed down to do more damage. That added a sense of Dynasty Warriors and while there is only 2 buttons to press to do damage, they do have a high style and low style. So I would recommend this game if you love the button mashing style of Dynasty Warriors.

Oh, and the secret boss is one of the funnest boss battles I've had in a long time. Learn how to slide sideways after a block!
