  1. Since we are on about frustrating games, and the fact that megaman has been talked about. I'm just gonna say I'm frustrated at Capcom. They have been doing all sorts of mean things to the stuff I love. Part of my soul died when they canceled Megaman Legends 3, I questioned the fact that you still have to pay for two DLC character's with Ultimate MvC3 and the on disk DLC for SFxT hasn't been well with me. Capcom within a year went to my favorite third person developers to where I stare at their decisions and hope they take them all back.

aaand I'm done venting... At least Dragon's Dogma looks good, please Capcom don't screw that up too...

  2. Megaman Zero is disappointing because it had an actual story line, where something happened every game. It even ended!

    /sarcasm

But nawh, I loved that series, funny enough I beat MMZ 1 last (beat 2,3,4,then 1, derp) but I though 1 wasn't the hardest one. Probably just training from the other three helped me out. Particular parts in 4 were annoying (Kraft... sweet song though.)

But back on topic (but still keeping with the tangent) Megaman X7, I have no idea what they were thinking when they decided to take all the elements that made megaman x good and change it.

  3. A friend recommended me to Trigun. Am I going to be wasting my time watching 25 episodes of this?

As someone who watched 5 episodes of it and loved it, go for it. Sadly I seem to be ADD, as I have not only that but cowboy bebop, Eden of the east, Mira Nikki, and Oran High school host club in my list of halfway watched but I've loved what I've seen.

  4. I have never in my gaming life felt "connected" to my character, and have never understood this craze among WRPG players to feel as such. Instead of giving me these choices that are relatively transparent(yes or no morality a la Mass Effect) which to me personally dilutes the potential for an interesting character arc, why not create an interesting character that I can see making decisions and growing in different ways through the game?

You know what, I was way more connected to my Fallout New Vegas character than my Fallout 3 character. And it was all due to the fact that I wasn't trying to project myself as the main character. Instead of doing what I would do, I tried to do what I think my character would.

Saucy Mcfrugalfist... that was the most interesting pugilist in new Vegas.

As for the only time I've seen a good/bad system work even in the slightest was Infamous 2. Honestly they should of just given the option right at the beginning if you were gonna be good or bad, so they didn't have to come up with obvious choices to the good/bad stuff, and just had the character choose it, then you do it as the player.

  5. Fable 2. I'm not even mad about the price I paid (5 bucks)

I'm just mad about everything that game tried to say it was. Every time it gave me a 'choice' I just went crazy.

It pretty much embodied all the things I have hated about modern games. Moral systems, advertise choices when it's only yes or no, and an extremely unsatisfying ending. (This isn't a knock at Mass Effect 3, havn't played it so I can judge. But these theme's show up in other games.) I felt NO connection to my character (Which they were trying to make me project myself into the character) all I could see was the absolutely blank expression on the face, not saying a word.

Spoilers: And that final boss was a complete joke, they let you aim a gun at the man who ruined your life. I decided to spare him, so what do they do? Have someone else shoot him. I hate that game so much.

  6. Yea, Cerabella can smash face in easily with her high damage and reach.

I don't know if anyone else has been thinking this, but to me it seems like all the characters can be played two ways, like Cerabella can either just super armor attack you or just focus on grappling. That's one of the things I love is that all the characters are fleshed out so well they can't be classified as easily like some marvel characters.

Anyways, if any of you guys want to fight online, my PSN is CaptainADD. Send me a message via PS3 if you want to fight!

  7. Well, I gotta say I have been enjoying the hell out of this game. If anyone is wondering how it compares to other fighting games, I would say it's a mix of most of the Fighting games (SFxT, SF4, UMvC3, Blazblue) but leaning towards UMvC3. It's got a speed just under UMvC3, which feels great. It also feels really solid though, kinda like Blazblue. So in conclusion fast like UMvC3, but really tight like Blazblue.

I also LOVE the animation and art style in this game, superb on every level.

As for characters, I really like to play as all of them, I'm best with valentine, but I have the most fun as Miss Fortune or Fillia.

I will say that the final boss can drive you up a wall if you are certain characters and be a cakewalk with others.

  8. I am eternally grateful to Toonami for showing me Interstella 5555, which showed me daft punk, which my new found love for that genre got me here.

    and the shows were kickass.

  9. Well, I finally have an excuse for buying my 3DS. I just finished this game today, and man do I LOVE it. Everything about this game is just so well polished.

As for some of my favorite weapons, the Bullet blade (or as I like to call the blade gun, like squall's gunblade but more gun than blade) was a great gun if you sacrifice bullet homing. For stupid fast I had a ninja palm with a speed +4 (My walking was faster than running with other weapons) it was weak on rapid so I could just dodge and charge shot. Also for a low value high damage (So good for online) was the Viridi Palm, I was suprised at how much damage I could belt out for a 175 value.

So what weapons have you guys liked to use so far?

  10. I have loved this game so far!

Heck I'm even ok with the controls, I really don't know why.

I gotta say when I first heard the voices I thought of that annoying thanatos rising video and I was worried about that. Then I thought to myself "just roll with it it's like Starfox 64" and indeed that was great choice.

I think the best way to sum this game up is that it's Starfox: Assault but amazing.

  11. Since I'm not sure if you're saying the voice acting is bad when you say it made your ears bleed, is it just me or does the volume of the voices in those anime shorts sound really ... LOUD?

They seem to overtop to the point where it's offputting. :| I find myself having to adjust the volume because it's so bad. I hope the actual game's recordings aren't this horrible.

Little of both. Yea I actually felt like the Carrot one, having a focus mainly on comedy was good. That Thanatos one's voice acting hurt my feelings. I was going to preorder kid icarus, but Medusa's revenge actually has me hyped for this game now. Best ad for a game I've seen in awhile.
