  1. RePosting. Does anyone know why it's opening like this, and how I can get it to open in the VST window? Easy one. It doesn't like you. But seriously, you shouldn't use Slayer if you're looking for a realistic E. Guitar sound. You should get a guitar amp VSTi. I know there's at least one at Kvr-vst.
  2. I think it's Settings General Miscellaneous Don't limit windows to screen
  3. Actually it just likes to jump down to the task bar. I still haven't spotted a single bug.
  4. YESSSSSS!!!!!! I've waited long for this! Edit - it won't load into FruityLoops, no! Copy zynaddsubfx.dll into windows/system32 folder. That'll do the trick. BTW, is it just me or are the filters a crap.
  5. Awesome. VST-version of ZynAddSubFX has been released. http://zynaddsubfx.sourceforge.net/ Check it out. Now.
  6. Double click on one of the notes. On piano roll window that is.

  8. Link us up to your FF6 mix, man For an example of the detuned saw sound I'm talking about, like I said, check Breath of Fire Sad Melody on this site, by ffmusic_dj. I'd recommend you use Superwave p8 instead of 3xOSC. It does a fair job emulating JP8080's filters and detuning is a lot easier with it. http://personal.inet.fi/urheilu/fsf/supersawxmpl.mp3 This propably isn't quite what you're looking for, but it should give you a fair idea what you can do with Superwave.
  9. Can't you use the Layer tool? Call me cheap - but I actually did this on my last trance mix. I layered five 3xOSCs to make a nice, fat, saw lead. It sounded unique enough, too. Cheap? What's so cheap about it? Supersaw actually is 8 detuned oscillators, you have to layer 3xOSCs if you want it to sound fat.
  10. You have to manually set the instruments with Fruity LSD.
  11. Just link them all to the same controller. Make sure you've unchecked the "remove conflicts" box. So, that's the one! Thanks a bunch!
  12. If you want just a single note to fade out, you could just use the slider tool. Check out slide event in manual for details.
  13. Can't you use the Layer tool? Yeah, I use the Layer, but the problem is that I need to use the specific filters that come with the synth. The one on Layer isn't gonna do the job.
  14. Unfortunate problems ahead: I've been trying to get a phat sound by layering some synths, but it makes it helluva lot harder to automate anything. I have to copy the automation several times and using VSTi-plugs isn't making it any easier (curse you Superwave p8 and your filters!) I've tried linking all the knobs to an external controller, such as the Peak Controller and Formula Controller, but apparently it can be only linked to one knob at a time. Anybody know a way around this?
  15. Yes, it mostly certainly is the order in which the effects are processed.
  16. http://personal.inet.fi/urheilu/fsf/dryeguitar.zip Here's a dry electric guitar sound I found from a Finnish music board. You'll have to add the distortion effects yourself, but if you know what you're doing, it'll definitely sound better than a synth. Try looking through http://www.buzzmachines.com if you lack of proper distortion effects.
  17. Listen boy, you really don't want to use the free filter. There's individual filter controls for every fruity generator. Go to: Your generator Ins(in the channel settings window, next to smp and misc) Filter You can automate it by right clicking on it and choosing edit automation. Next time you can read the fantastic manual.
  18. I don't have a freakin' clue what you're on about, but here's some pretty nice clean electric guitar samples I picked up from another forum: http://www.mikseri.net/www/outlink.php?http://www.hut.fi/~pjunno/temp/kitarasamplet.zip I haven't tested it myself, but the demo sounded nice.
  19. Prot gave it a thumbs up, so I guess it means this mix is good. NOT. Seriously though, I'm wondering how did this ever get past the judges panel. There's no trace of any kind of mastering and the arrangement is very poor. The bass sounds like it was taken straight outta BooBass.
  20. In the 3xosc you want to use the CUT envelope and RES envelope. Works to good effect. Just mess around with them and see what you get. If I can send you an .flp I could show you. LFO, anyone?
  21. Easier way to do this: Wrapper plugin menu Last tweaked parameter Edit events Maybe next time I'll actually rtfm...
  22. Little something I discovered recently: you can actually automate VST's with the Wrapper by recording it live. However, the real trick is that once you have recorded it, you can edit the automation like this: Browser Current Project Main Automation Yeah, I feel like a fool for not realizing it sooner. I hope someone finds this helpful. Oh and Skulrusha, I'm sorry but I've been too lazy the start the FAQ-thingie. And by the looks of it, it seems I'll never get it finished anyway, so if you don't mind, I'll just drop out.
  23. Options General Settings Auto empty channel zipping
  24. You could stretch one single note for the whole song. Or you could just use the volume release so that the transitions aren't noticeable.
