  1. STOP IT

I made this song in honor to a boring girl I know. Her name is Jenny and whenever I prove her wrong at something (she's not very bright) she says "Stop it" in such a ticked way (I don't blame her, she believes in opinion over fact, therefore deceiving her very self with emotion over logic. :D). Also, whenever she calls she sounds extremely bored, as if I'm boring her to sleep. She also talks about mere pointless things, and her talking about attractions to other guys WHILE attracted to me is not a way to get me to like her, in fact, I hate her. XD

Later on through the song I bring what every adult who lives with his or her parent(s) goes through: loads of chores. Parents feel they should take a load off, but I don't blame parents for doing that really. In fact, I don't even wash the dishes or sweep the floor and I don't mind to take the car back into the driveway after trash in the back is finished burning (this doesn't apply to everyone, especially those without a car or who find no reason to drive).

The song reminds me of SeeD from Final Fantasy VIII and is inspired by Jenny's extremely boring conversations, parents giving orders to their children, and Hideki Naganuma's style of music all-together (if you don't know him, research is FTW).

By the way, that is my voice sped up. Enjoy.

  2. New thread yay.

    ~Lyrics:~

Little children all around the world, going

Candy candy candy candy candy candy candy candy

It makes me sick just to see them eat and get fat

So I'll give them a treat

I'll stuff their mouths with candy canes

And give them lots of chocolates

Just to show them how nice I am

Oh looky there, there's a danish treat

Why take the time to prepare for the world

To listen to your pain, crying for desire

No friends or family can help you now

So starting your praying 'cause you're entering into Candy Hell

    Welcome to my hellish lair

Filled with sweet and sour delights

Take your time and look around

    And see just what's inside

'Cause you'll be living here for quite a while now

    Eating just what you desire

So get a Hershey maybe Baby Ruth

    And get fat

Why take the time to prepare for the world

To listen to your pain, crying for desire

No friends or family can help you now

So starting your praying 'cause you're now in Candy Hell

Why take the time to prepare for the world

To listen to your pain, crying for desire

No friends or family can help you now

So starting your praying 'cause you're now in Candy Hell

The song is finally finished. I have drowned the songs with a bunch of effects. I'm soooo tired. Enjoy.

Oh, and I won't be making an album of video game music because I have been hired to be a video game composer for a 3D cel-shaded RPG by the name of Nightmare Online. O_O!! I'm excited... and tired. Gosh, I'm off to bed... ZzZzZz

  3. 19dop

I come with a short piece I wrote in awe of killing time while I should be studying for my music final tomorrow. lol. It reminds me of machinery, factories, and lava; I don't know why it does, but it's just imagery I guess. I can't help but think of Sonic 3D Blast for some reason...

    Enjoy.

EDIT: After listening to this 100 times (2.5 hours), I have realized that it reminds me of the Bionicle Heroes OST by Tom Miller (GBA version).

  4. Wow, I haven't heard of you in ages. It's so good to hear from you again!!! :)

I thought this track was remixed extremely well, what with the bits of percussion, the bass, etc. Everything just works so well and I'm truly impressed with how amazing this is. While my nostalgia for your other music makes me like them more, I'd have to say that this is your best remix to date yet I can't help but love the songs that got me into you more... I hope that makes sense.

Glad to hear from you again, Star Salzman. :)

  5. I've posted this at other forums and have taken all of my posts, that which are relevant to the topic and come from me, and merged them into one post here. I was afraid to post this here because I usually get bashed or whatever but I don't care now. :D I love this song!

Download: TinDeck is being incongruent right now, so you'll have to click here for the Deaf Mix of the song.

CHALLENGE: I made this song in FL but had my volume turned down all the way while producing it. I could not hear any of the instruments I chose, so what you hear is what I chose "blindly". The melodies are what I have been playing on the piano at my school for many months now but only the melodies were the only things I knew about this song; as far as the bass and the rhythms I used they are completely original for this song. Basically, I was "Beethoven" while making this song and only heard melodies in my head, that's it. What a challenge!

This song is one huge project combined into one. 0:00-1:51 & 3:12-End is what I call "Theme of [some made-up R.P.G.]" and 1:51-3:11 is what I call "The Son Is In My Eyes". The first and third portions were basically melodies I made for a potential R.P.G. theme (I thought it sounded like one and whenever I played it at my school's Student Center people think I'm playing something from a video game, so I guess I succeeded) and the second portion is a praise song I made for my church (it will start to be sung in June; lyrics below). I must say, however, that this song does not show how either song is intended for listening, for this is a weird mix and I made myself "deaf" while making this.

Currently, the lyrics have not been added to the song. I don't know how my voice will sound with the song and I don't care how bad my voice is when I do post it. lol.

~Lyrics for the "The Son Is In My Eyes" portion - 1:51-3:11 - ~

    King of all kings

    Almighty God

Your name is worthy of praise

    You're the Savior who reigns

    Through bright and sunny days

Now I want to praise your name

When I wake up in the morning

And the Son is in my eyes

    And it's really no surprise

    His sacrifice

    Is the greatest that's ever

    Been given unto me

    And now I am free

    His name is Jesus

    King of all kings

    Almighty God

Your name is worthy of praise

    You're the Savior who reigns

    Through bright and sunny days

Now I want to praise your name

This song, no matter how weird this version sounds, is straight from my heart and is one of my favorite songs of all time due to God's role in it. Seriously, thanks to Him I am able to express how He makes me feel, and I'm so thankful for what I have. I'm thankful He gave me a friend like Jewbei to keep inspiring me to mix music. I'm thankful He brought life into Yasunori Mitsuda and inspired me to write original music to begin with, not to mention make the rhythms in this song as wacky as possible. I'm thankful He introduced me to Imperative Reaction for inspiring my sound, no matter how anti-industrial and pro-trance it may be. I'm thankful God made Beethoven deaf so I could be inspired to do this challenge ...just joking. :D

Keep in mind that all the instruments I chose while "deaf" are still intact in this version and I may change them in future versions. Basically, this song is my "Deaf Mix" and future versions will be serious. (I referred to the waveforms in the Oscilloscope for guidance in choosing my instruments but could not hear everything like I have emphasized throughout this post)

Enjoy, but please no outright bashing on how bad it may sound. This song was nowhere near easy to make. At. All. O_o

    UPDATE!!! Nario sings at last!

For all I know, these are the final versions! I added EQ, remastered the instruments and added a bunch of effects.

    Seen, Yet Unheard

    Enjoy!

  6. After watching that UK PS3 commercial I started to think about how a lot of Sony's advertisements are shallow, flawed, and sometimes not even understandable. It also seems that they are a bit arrogant in the way they want to sell their products ("even if the PS3 had no games fans will still buy it because of our loyal fanbase" >_<).

I'll just say screw Sony. Screw. Sony.

  7. This song is entire awesome, beginning to end. I love the mood of the song, the texture of your instruments, your voice, the lyrics, everything. There's just something about this song that really opens me up, only to realize I'm still a nerd with almost no hope and no future. Heh.

This song is now one of those I will not forget. Beautiful!!!!!!!

  8. That's a good point, actually. If someone missed a few play sessions, they fell pretty far behind and was damn hard to catch up again.

Anyway, it does take time for that game. Not a hundred hours, but maybe more like 30-40. That's about what we played by the time we beat the final boss, if I recall.

I'm definitely looking forward to the DS and Wii FF:CC games.

I really hope that they make FF:CC a WiFi game, that, or one where you don't need a GBA to play the games. >_<

  9. I just wanted to say that my song was written in 4/4, unlike the 3/4 time signature that Dancing Animals originally had. The trick was to use a 3/8, 3/8, & 1/4 rhythm as opposed to 1/3, 1/3, & 1/3. For example:

    XOOXOOXOOXOOXOOXOOXOOXOO <- Original rhythm (3/4)

    XOOXOOXOXOOXOOXOXOOXOOXO <- Remix rhythm (4/4)

Note: "X" indicates where a note would take place.

Nonetheless, thanks to those who voted for me. :) It was very interesting making a song with nothing but black keys, that, and it was neat being able to make this in three horus (my shortest amount of time to make a "good" remix, like, ever. :P).

  10. I'm new to the contest, so don't flame me. :) Nonetheless, I just wanted to join in on the fun because I realized how I didn't have time to make a song for any of the competitions at The Shizz and OverLooked ReMiX, so I come here. Never playing Secret of Mana before, I find making this remix to be interesting. Making a song of nothing but "black keys" was really neat and, although it is quite repetitive, I hope you all enjoy listening to this whilst doing homework or just casually when not judging it. Enjoy.

  11. Why not make Final Fantasy VII look like a SNES game? Or better yet, why not make it 2D? Oh, whoops, too late. :P

Jokes aside (I'm actually interested in a SNES-version of FF7), I can see a FF7 remake, but I'm not sure on what handheld or console. It's possible for it to be on the DS, but not plausible. Nonetheless, I'd like to see it remade on anything than the PS3 because I won't buy that console with my life depended on it... Would that be suicide???
