Square-X, what kind of rap? Others- Pretty hard to find a good sounding guitar soundfont. They don't end up sounding real because there are a lot of factors that go into how a guitar sounds...

Any way to cure the distance that the squidfont seems to create? It just sounds too far in the background for me. Is there maybe a solo soundfont that sounds good layered?

In search of a vibraphone. Same sound as the one in When It Falls by Zero 7 or Instant Death by Beastie Boys. *edit* Listening to When It Falls I guess it's not a vibraphone, probably an e-piano. I would still like to have an e-piano like that. And still the vibraphone from Instand Death.

Another question. Direct sound streaming buffer. I downloaded a FL file off of SectionZ and it messed up my FL, turns out it turned it way down. I don't know exactly what this does, but all I know is that it slows down and crap unless I have it around 74ms. Can anyone explain what this does/if it will effect my music?

I'm assuming that an M-Audio Radium49 will work in my questionably obtained Fruityloops 3.5.6 on my Windows 98 comp. Correct? Sweet. Almost got a new title.

Maestro - No idea about FL Studio XXL. But, I know a little about wavs. To use them the way I think you want them to, you have to use piano roll, but most importantly, activate the volume envelope under channel settings. This will make the wav play only as long as you have the piano roll note going. Hope it helped.

Skulkrusha: Yes, yes, and yes. Gecko: You might be right. It didn't say that they were tested with FL. Which would suck.

Still looking for Antares help....

I just got Antares AutoTune and Kantos VST plugins. I'm having a problem with both. AutoTune won't show up on my channel list when I go to add a VST plugin. I rebooted, re-entered the registry key and everything. Kantos shows up, but I get an error message saying it can't be loaded into an effect channel. *UPDATE* now neither shows up inside FL. Help?

I'll give you the noobified answer, because I'm still learning everything FL. And it sucks cause I had to teach myself everything... Automation is predetermined control of the various knobs and switches and effects. You can either do things like record the actions you perform with the record button, or you can edit the events of each and every action with a pretty basic editor, which is the event editor. You use a graph-like interface to control things like knobs. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.

Okay, so updates are only free if you have bought FL Studio.

I'm pretty sure that FruityLoops upgrades are free for life. Which means you, sir, are using a pirated copy. Naughty naughty. And I'll stick with 3.5.

I'm trying to record scratching of a voice sample on the Fruity Scratcher, but it doesn't play back whatever scratches I record in song or pattern mode. Does anyone know how to do this?

Darkesword I took all of your soundfonts and they all are great. Thanks man. I'm looking for really authentic-sounding guitars. Bass, acoustic, electric, everything. And this one's a little weird, but a human vibrato whistle.

I love this mix. It gets too much unnecessary hating. Anyone know where I can find the original soundtrack to that game? It was one of my favorites.

I like it. The mixing of the voice samples remind me of the Avalanches.
