can you suggest any ones that are purchaseable as a software VST? which ones are really worth the money?
-
Most likely they used a vocoder, or they set up a vocal tuner to correct to a certain scale.
this was what i thought it was, but i wasn't sure. is this something that a program/vst like autotune could do, or is it something else?
-
pity, i was hoping for something cool, like a free computer or something like that.
-
how many people know the song 'Antissa', by E. S. Posthumus? i'd love to know how they did the vocal part for that song.
here's a link to the yahoo soundclip of the song.
thanks.

theory is good. i'm a music educator, and i like theory, so if you've got any specific questions feel free to pm me. mainly, though, i'm posting this so that i've got the subscription.

i didn't see any special offer. but fl7 is absolutely great.
-
its not nice to copy people's compositional ideas, that's why we haven't.
-
not gonna be fixed till next week now.
-
is it just me, or can no one else load ThaSauce either?
-
it's been going for far too long, that's how long.
back on task. take care of koopa road, zoola - if you don't want it, i'll snatch it up.

this turned out to be a great project. another soundscape, want to be on my radical dreamers project? or the pkmn project? some solid work, all around.
thanks for the votes =)

i dunno, we need people to start mixing more instead of just posting constantly.
and with that (and the 3.5 gigs of samplefusion i dl'd yesterday morning) i want to do another mix. gimme a source tune that is something that i'll be able to work with, and we'll see what comes out. i prefer simple tunes that are melodically driven and that i can play with the chords a bit.
lol, basically, do my mix research for me.
-
lol, i didn't try to contact you. i was just thinking about people i hadn't heard from in a while, and you were one of the ones at the top.
-
like i said, if you can find me a real midi for lethal lava lands, i'll do it.
-
i'll do lethal lava land on two conditions.
1. someone finds me a midi, i didn't see one on google.
2. someone identifies a real melody other than the random soloing that the 'sitar' does.
else, i'll do koopa's theme. it's gonna be wierd since i don't have anything in terms of normal sfs or beats or anything cause it's all stolen, but it'll be cool, i think.
-
my original was on my other computer, which was stolen.
i don't know when i'll get to the mix now. i don't have a recording setup, or a machine capable of running something past fl 3.56.
-
oh, didn't see that.
i'll take a listen to the other tracks and see what i come up with. if i find something i like, then i'll go with it and post here.
-
sign me up for an orchestral/tribal (if i can find the samples) masterwerke of koopa's road, possibly including either stage boss or ultimate koopa.
note that i need to get my mixing setup set up on my older computer, since my new one is the one that was stolen.
now, i just need to find midis of each of these. anyone got them.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to apologize to DragonAvenger for deleting her project forum account. When you didn't get back to me after a few months, I pretty much forgot who you were, and when I saw you sign up, I asked if anyone knew who you were. Sadly, no one said they did, and I deleted it.
But then, almost immediately, someone else pointed out that you had expressed interest back at the begining of this very thread, and then I remembered who you were. Then someone else said that they were working with you on a remix. D'oh!
My bad, entirely. Sign up again, and I will personally activate your account.
damned, you faggot, I'M the one that activated it =)
everyone besides pu_freak, get mixing!
what ever happened to that andyjayne kid?
-
i lolled, really.
-
wait, he hasn't been around in weeks because he broke a guitar string? someone's gonna die.

a good example of most modes is in church music, but a lot of world music is based on modes as well. you basically listen for the 'feel' of the piece - if it's centered in A, has a raised 3 and 6 and a lowered 7, that's A dorian. key's in G, but not the piece.
like they've said, the best example is the minor keys, but there's some other good examples in indian music with mixolydian modes, and phrygian modes in arabic stuff.
