  1. FEBRUARY 3RD

i'd like finished tracks by this point. we NEED to get moving along before the semester really starts to kick in.

by this point, if you're not on track to finish by the deadline or soon after, you're off the project. this includes ellywu2, drumultima, dhsu, and the rexy/darangen collaborative effort.

that said, snakebone manor is now up for grabs. the track that Prometheus and i were going to do just didn't pan out, so anyone is free to take the track.

taucer, please update the first post.

  2. Nice.

I didn't vote personally because it was way too close for me to call. I wanted to give special props to Prophet though...your arrangement gave me a special feeling I haven't had for a while.

Also, the Racing Chocobos mixes turned out surprisingly good...props to everyone who tackled that track. :)

    thanks, dhsu.

i had trouble deciding on voting stuff too, because i really wasn't sure which ones i'd pick. i had trouble narrowing it down below about six, personally. there was a lot of great mixes on this.

  3. the rock itself is great - after a while, i've found that all their songs start to sound the same. that doesn't stop me from liking 'My Immortal', 'Bring Me To Life', or a lot of other ones from 'Fallen'. i haven't heard their newest cd, though.

  4. Yes, I am Mogrothir's girlfriend. Hooray, I am remembered!

Actually, I'm rather amused because most people seem to remember me more than they remember my boyfriend, who is the one who was actually on the forums :)

HE was just another dude at a geekfest. YOU, on the other hand, were a GIRL. GIRLS don't come to geekfests often, and cute ones are even more rarer to be had.

  5. We're still on topic, no? My last post still mentioned Evanescence. The thread just has extra spices now. The main ingredient is still there.

But just to reinforce the intended purpose: why isn't Tourniquet played on the radio? Is it because of its blatant religious overtones? I had never heard the song until I got my hands on the CD. It is clearly one of their superior songs.

it is, definitely. it's not played because of blatant religious overtones (which Amy Lee said weren't religious overtones in the infamous interview that eventually led to Ben leaving the band), but because it has blatantly obvious drug overtones, i think. and, also probably because they never released it as a single, so i don't think that radio stations can play it without paying for each individual playing, or something stupid like that.

  6. And you and I were such assholes - SnappleMan called you a loud asshole in IRC haha (about the DoD listening party stuff).

lol. that was after the "F--- YEAH!" song, and that joke banjo track. i guess we were a little rowdy, but that was absolutely hilarious. i'm surprised snappleman remembered it was me, after all the booze he had.

D-Lux massively owning Moguta, DjSammyG, and The Prophet of Mephisto in SSB as Kirby. Damn Kirby.

it's not MY fault i got assraped, donkey kong sucks on that stage. besides, me and d-lux on a team only lost once all weekend, and we played a lot of doubles stuff.

btw, the first picture in your next post was something i'm not supposed to say [o noez judgehaet], if i remember correctly.

  8. The company was wonderful (and oh so amuse-- oooo, pretty green laser!)

Jiggles McPuff is quite funny in real life. me, fivre, and him split a set of three super smash bro's matches at some point on saturday. that guy can PLAY, and fivre's damn good at ness. stupid psychic kid.

i will say one of the highlights of last night's activities was when Don/Jiggles was playing with the laser pointer, and this hot chick (dressed quite nice too) comes up behind him and tries talking to him...and he ignored her. i lolled.
