Ahaha, I was gone to class and still had the old new server on my servers list... it's a 10-player Counter-Strike Source server now.

It got put in the wrong datacenter... Bahamut's having it moved as we speak (which means the IP is changing again...) New IP will be 8.9.31.206:27015 For reference, it was supposed to be in the Chicago, IL datacenter and ended up in the San Jose, CA datacenter. It's transferring to Chicago now.

There was also some unexpected mod upgrades during the switch... hopefully it doesn't cause any issues. Metamod: Source was updated to 1.7. Sourcemod was updated to 1.1.

I'd be up for it; not sure about everyone else.

There was a boatload of people on after I got home from work but before I finished dinner (19 to be exact). However, I told someone I was going to get on after eating, and that person must have warned them about how great a spy I am, 'cause when I finished eating, it was down to 4 people!

This particular addon, once you place it in your Addons directory, adds a few new buttons and tabs to the Auction House interface. The Scan button is one such new button. However, this addon is pretty useless unless you spend time scanning the auction house with it. This takes roughly 20-25 minutes on Illidain. I usually do it once every day that I'm on. I usually start it, then tab out of WoW to do something else for a bit. After a few days, you tend to get a good history of prices on the server, then you can use the Appraise tab to determine a good price for items. Illidain has an expensive economy, which you can use to your advantage: green and blue items, even low level ones, sell for a LOT of money on the auction house. Some common items do too. I was selling stacks of 20x[Wool Cloth] for somewhere around 8g.

Nope, but then again, I was using the Auctioneer addon to determine the optimum price to sell each green for. I had just over 100g before I hit level 30. P.S. I haven't been on much recently... I've been dealing with some real life events, plus reinstalling the OS on my computer.

I wish I knew why the server would periodically crash. It crashed last night after ctf_turbine when we had a nearly full server (20/24). When it came back, we had 3/24. Turbine is the last map in the mapcycle. I wonder if that has anything to do with the crashes. Edit: I'm moving ctf_turbine up two so that pl_goldrush is the last map. We'll see if it still crashes at the end of the mapcycle.

Excellent. Saves me bandwidth. It would have been nice if he'd actually told me he'd stopped using it as a mirror, so I didn't, say, waste my time putting pl_donkeykong_final on my mirror. I haven't just been hosting the maps, I've been taking the time to recompress them in the one compressed format TF2 understands (bz2) because sites like FPSBanana don't have them in that format. So... anyone up to playing on OCR's server tonight?

I suppose if I don't like the rules I should also stop mirroring maps for him? Oh, you didn't know I did that, huh?

Beyond Good and Evil has some graphics issues on my computer. I've read online about how to fix them, but some people say it sends your framerate through the floor. I didn't get a chance to test it because of TF2 last night. I'll test it tonight after work. Speaking of which, it's nearly time to leave.

It does disappoint me that our TF2 server sits idle while people actually join Atmuh's server. I hate playing on his server, because I have to constantly stop and Mute people to avoid going insane... and I've seen people (0ptik) kicked because they tried to talk while others were micspamming.

I've made yet another change to the alltalk setting. I've removed it from the configuration. That means it'll stay at whatever the last alltalk setting was at on a map change. This also has the side effect of having alltalk off when the server starts. Admins can change the alltalk setting using the Server Cvars menu option (4, I think). Reserved slot holders can start an alltalk vote with votealltalk (I think) or in the menu under Voting Commands.
