  1. Thanks so much for mentioning me in your promo video, but to be honest I almost feel naked without my main rival Chernabogue mentioned. He has as dedicated a contributor as me to OCMVC as me. Anyway I can at least stand up and say that I have something amazing to show you guys even if my computer shat itself now. I am 90% complete and to be honest this song is so damn long I have considered cutting the last 40 seconds. I don't know, as it stands at the moment my video is complete is complete except for the last 40 seconds that looks quite bare. I am considering cutting that, or I could make it the most epic part of my video I don't know. Honestly I am glad that I acted on this video so fast as at this point I am sick of hearing it. But that is the same with all my music videos. Good luck everyone the viewing party is close.
  2. Awesome I have sent invitations to all my friends. Who are you guys on Facebook, if you tell me your name I'll friend you.
  3. Wow thanks for the response I was about to edit my post and add some more information only 5 minutes after I made, but I guess I'll post it here now. The video effects also seem to blend with videos on other layers for again a millisecond. ie, my non wavy video becomes wavy like the video behind it. Anyway thanks modus I'll try that next time I render it.
  4. Hmm I just rendered my 85% complete video to see how it looks and for some reason there are occasional glitches that definitely have have nothing to do with the timeline. For example at one point my background video disappeared to black for a millisecond and some of my sprites would suddenly disappear or change position for a millisecond. It's not a big deal as I'm talking very short glitches here and only a few throughout the whole video, but if only I could get rid of these it would make the video look so much more professional. Has anyone got any ideas as to how I can fix this? I am using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. My computer may not be powerful enough to handle it, I might try rendering it on a friends more powerful laptop when I'm done. Clue#4 Crystals
  5. I'm now at about 70% done and am addicted watching it over and over rather then getting further on it, but that's a good sign right. I really look forward to what you have done Chernabouge. We are the life of the OCMVC party. How's it going for you Dio, i'm looking forward to a life footage video from you. Clue# 3 Mine again involves mostly images and animation rather then live footage.
  6. Pirate Shout is still one of my favorite OCRs of all time, I just want to wait until I'm financially stable enough to hire costumes and a good location to make such a video, because I think it deserves a really good video I should probably evolve my video editing skills a bit more before trying to do justice to my favorite remix. So yes Pirate Shout will be done someday, but not until I have some money in my pocket to fund it, which I may have to wait until I finish my studies and have a real job for. My mystery remix is coming along great I believe I could claim 50% completion my video editing tricks get more and more elaborate as the song builds up. So later points in the song will probably take longer then the earlier ones. I agree Chernabogue I am at a far enough point that I could reveal my mix and still be able to finish it. So yeah we should at least start making a remix before we reveal it. Because the problem with Pirate Shout and Snow Motion is that I hadn't even started working on them when I announced them. However when I have started something I rarely leave it unfinished out of fear of wasting my hard work to date and nothing short of the apocalypse or death will keep me from finishing thhe video at this point. However even as a viewer I enjoy having no clue as to what remix is coming, so I think I will continue to keep mine secret. clue# 2 Final Fantasy IV
  7. Wow do I ever regret revealing my mix before making it, because now I have decided not to go with Snow Motion. Apologies to SkyHigh who may have been looking forward to it. When I was walking home listening to random OCRs on the way. I heard one that got me so motivated that I started working on the video as soon as I got home and already have it 30% done as I speak in the same day. I was procrastinating on Snow Motion, because my motivation for it fizzled out after I waited so long to start and had heard several more motivational mixes afterwards. So bottom line cancel Snow Motion, and put me up for a mystery mix. I've learned why it's not a good idea to reveal the mix your doing. I will probably have mine finished before the end of the weekend at this rate. It's great when you finish well before schedule. So I'm voting for no extension, unless an extension nets us several more videos and remember you can also show a partially finished video, like I did. I was not burned at the stake for it. Good Luck everyone I am soooo looking forward to showing my video, it's going to be amazing and my best work to date. I will give everyone a one word hint as to what's coming... SPRITES!
  8. I subscribed to the ocmvc channel. Ok, I now know why I shouldn't reveal the remix I'm doing anymore, because I may change my mind and leave the remixer disappointed. I think I'll still do Snow Motion, but I'm not revealing the mix next time. I can't wait to see these promo videos. I'll be sure to spread them everywhere I can, if only I had thousands of subscribers I could really help us out, lol.
  9. It could be great if you could use OCR Music videos in your promotion video, here are the links.

    This one was unfinished.

This one however wasn't part of one of the competitions.

  10. I haven't started it yet. But I am confident I'll have it done before the deadline, I started my last one only 3 days before the deadline.
  11. Here is a Music Video Vlog I made, using a OCREMIX (Medieval Magic) for that reason it doesn't count towards the competition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnyqeRvAQJk
  12. Looks like it's going to be great Dio, I wish I had 6 people to help me. Well actually that's why I have put of the Pirate Shout video, because I should soon have a lot of people in my media class that could be willing to help me make it something super epic, but I'd have to wait until my school's week break. I have also had another idea for something I'll shoot in the meantime in addition to Snow Motion. Let's just say that I could have 2 music video this time.
  13. Making Music Videos is the best way to get good at making them. My first was pretty bad. I am eager to start editing my Snow Motion Music Video tonight, I've just got some things I should do first, maybe I should procrastinate on those, lol.
  14. I wish I could be there, if only I wasn't in Australia and wasn't a poor student. I have made a lot of friends over the last few days, I just came back from Media Camp, because I am studying towards making video production my career and I made a lot of new friends that should hopefully be willing to help make Pirate Shout something epic. I may even be able to borrow professional film making equipment from the school. So starting from tomorrow I'm going to start organizing something on a professional level for Pirate Shout. The main thing stopping me from doing it immediately is a lack of money to do anything like hire costumes and locations etc. I need to get my overdue course fees paid and then get a non-pirated (lol, awesome pun) copy of vegas. So despite me being totally enthusiastic about this it's lack of funds that's keeping me from doing it right now. In case you guys are interested I made a short 37 second music video to Lunatic Moon by Sixto Sounds, it was a trailer to a review video I made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mq66eWS_ywQ
  15. Hey everyone, I have been really busy and should have started my Pirate Shout music video by now. I have discovered however song called Snow Motion by Sky High that I already have footage to suit and my Pirate Shout idea is probably too ambitious to do for this OCRMVC. So i'm thinking first an editing job for Snow Motion in this OCRMVC and then a dress up and film myself for the next OCRMVC. Mainly because Pirate Shout is too awesome for me to want to do a half assed job for. Look forward to it. Setzer (the most awesome person in the world) Trancer
  16. I love the new Sonic Green Hill Zone Remix. http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02190/ I Would like to see a music video made for that. I'm still doing Pirate Shout though. Maybe if I have time I might do one for this too, but that's not likely.
  17. I too, have to make videos without a very powerful computer. I get around this though by often splitting my video up into separate projects and rendering each one separately before combining them in one final render.
  18. Hey I just thought you guys might like to see a very short music video I made in an afternoon, it's an intro to a friends show. It's not an OCR mix but I'm sure you guys will still enjoy it. Consider this a small sample of the possibilities of my next OCR Music video. http://blip.tv/file/4778243
  19. I am pretty dead set on doing this remix. I am still debating the pros and cons of videos clips from pirate movies or filming and performing it myself. The Secret of Monkey Island 'Pirate Shout' 2011-02-07 by audio fidelity, Derek Meler, Eric Griffin, Marcus Affeldt
  20. Hey I will definitely want to be a part of this, especially if the person I want to collaborate with does too and that deadline should work well. Since there isn't going to be any winners or prizes then collaborations shouldn't cause any complications. Would you like us to post which remix we are making a music video for. I think that would be a good idea, not to outlaw people from doing the same tracks but just to make people consider doing something else. I think I have already found a remix that I want to make my next video for and this time it is a very new one.
  21. I had an interesting idea. What if my next music video is made in collaboration with an amazing music video producer, not from this site. But someone who has probably never heard of the site. How would the judging work then?
  22. My creative mind is inconsistent, hence me only starting work 4 days before the deadline last time. I don't really have any suggestions I think the 2 I have participated in turned out well. I would like to see more entries overall though and for this event to be bigger. I think there should be should be some sort of reward for the winner whether it be a special signature or mention on the OCremix home page. I'm going to start seriously thinking about a song for the next competition. I'm not really caught up on the more recent mixes on this site. I tend to always pick mixes that I enjoyed when I was obsessed with this site back when I was 18. Wow that's 5 years ago. Anyway if anyone has a song they think I would enjoy making something for please let me know, just take note of the ones I've already done http://www.youtube.com/user/setzertrancer?feature=mhum to see if it's my kind of music. I intend to evolve my editing skills with each entry, especially since I am aspiring towards a professional role in the industry. Thanks dio for organizing these events.
  23. Since I couldn't comment on the website you used Modus, I'll comment here. Your video looked great and the water in that game had amazing effects. Analoq you have really made me interested in learning to do what you did there. I think that has amazing potential for awesome effects and audio syncing if it was combined with making AMVs. Chernabogue I was kind of disappointed by your videos, but only because the ones you had at the last competition were so much better and I had hoped to see you progress your video editing skills in this one. Yikes now i'm suddenly intimidated by the next competition, it's going to be hard to top this one, lol.
  24. Sorry I wasn't there everyone I was staying up for this and I unfortunately I fell asleep. If anyone kept a chat log, please let me know as I would love to see it. Oh nevermind thanks for the chat log dio! Everyone expect comments from me real soon.
  25. I think it is 9Pm -8:00 GMT, that's when it was last time and that is when dio said this expect it this time. Seriously though he should be more clear about this in his posts, or update his initial post with the time under which time zone. Well I hope I show up at the right time.
