I've really wanted to get into hacking Brawl, so I can get into Brawl+, but I heard there's some repercussions into getting the Homebrew channel and all that, besides legal issues.
Something about losing the ability to use the Wii Shop channel? There's some good Wiiware in there and I wanna support those indie developers.

I've always wanted one of those Wii classic controllers... how much would shipping to the L.A. area be? I'm juggling around my money for Anime Expo.

I watched a few episodes of this anime called Ga Rei Zero a while back, I wanna finish it someday...
It's got supernatural stuff all over it, and a bit of gore and stuff, but nothing to Elfen Lied. Also, a bit of yuri service, if you're into that.
Has anyone seen Last Exile? I heard that was good too.

Also, that manga someone referenced a few pages back is TOO. EPIC. You NEED to read it, it's so awesome.
IIRC, there was an anime adaptation too.
And re: Fullmetal Alchemist, FMA: Brotherhood follows the manga better, if you're picky about that. I also hear it's very different from the original FMA.

The only thing I didn't like with the HighFPS config is that he disabled ragdolls and eyes. You might want to check out the config to turn those back on, if you wish.

I'm not sure what your specs are but I have found that setting the Dx level to 8.1 helps a ton.
To set dx level open Steam.
Right Click on TF2
Click on Properties
Under the General Tab click on Set Launch Options
In the box enter "dxlevel 81" without quotes
Exit this menu
Start TF2
Exit TF2
Now go back to Set Launch Options
Remove "dxlevel 81" (This stops the game from resetting your visual settings everytime your start the game)
Your game will now run dx 8.1 shaders instead of the standard 9.5. This option removes some phong shaders and makes the game look less shiny but you will see an increase in FPS.
Check your specs to make sure that your PC can run TF2 in the first place.

I WILL agree with you that a dedicated spy checker is a bit stupid... unless _maybe_ you have like three engineers with a bunch of crap in one spot on defense (stupid engies). Then a dedicated spy checker may be useful
Or one of two things is happening:
-Your team is really really stupid and gets backstabbed by a troublesome Spy constantly
-You really want to give that failspy a bad day.

You know, with the Engie update coming, you think Valve will finally throw down some love for the 360 version? I remember people saying they'll update the 360 version when all the updates come out or something...

Also, Orange Box is currently on sale on Steam for $20.99 starting today, to celebrate Half-Life 2's (all 3 games) release on the Mac. In addition, HL2 is $6.99, and Ep1/Ep2 are $5.59 each. All 3 together are $18.17, only $2.82 cheaper than Orange Box. HL2 and Ep1 have new achievements, too!
Sounds like someone's spending $21 for someone.

A required update for Team Fortress 2 is now available. Please run hldsupdatetool to receive the update. The specific changes include:
- Fixed players seeing cloaked Spies when they should be fully cloaked
- Updated the Homewrecker
--- It now damages enemy sappers on friendly buildings
- Fixed items not displaying correctly while playing back a demo
- Badge hire dates now display the time in GMT
I'm going to update RED now, BLU to follow.
However, it is interesting to see that the Homewrecker now has a secondary use.
As an Engineer's best friend, this has me torn. Help unsap or keep the Axtinguisher?

Also, I figured a better shotgun airblast script:
alias +airblast "slot1; +attack2"
alias -airblast "-attack2; lastinv"
bind mouse2 +airblastThis way you can keep holding down M2 to airblast as long as you want. I have an odd feeling this needs some fine tuning though, like a wait delay to compensate for weapon switch cooldown.

If I plug this in my pyro.cfg, will I have to rebind mouse2 to attack2 when I change classes?

Pyro... it's arguable about nerf or not, but I do like the airblast changes (namely AIRBLASTING OFF A CLIFF COUNTS AS A KILL NOW, YAY!).

The system seems to be a bit weird at the moment.
I've still only gotten 1 item (a hat) since the system changed, despite the fact that I was on for several hours yesterday.
Do we know if your regular item drops go down if a hat drops?
I was going to call that Valve would have completely removed hat drops in favor of the crafting system but I just remembered as I was typing this post that I saw someone get a Modest Pile of Hat this morning.
