This is pretty much why I don't really see the point in vilifying Kickstarter over this.To be fair to Kickstarter, the original deadline has already passed, so resurrecting the pledge drive now will surely confuse a lot of people who are expecting that their credit cards, etc. aren't going to be charged. All donors would have to be contacted individually to obtain their consent. The easiest and best way to do this would be to start a new Kickstarter drive, giving everyone an opportunity to "opt-in" again using the normal mechanism. -
I'm assuming we'll see in the next Kickstarter. What were the terms set by SE?
I don't really see how any of this is Kickstarter's fault. Given the situation, I'd say they did precisely the right thing.Ok so less hate for Squeenix-failHit the fools at kickstarter.
Maybe not use kickstarter again drop a line to Dvice and Cnet about this debacle and move to another method?

Pretty sure your interpretation is the correct one.

Yep, that was it. It's actually pretty common for movie trailers to use music from other movie scores, especially when the movie itself hasn't been scored yet. For instance, Two Towers and Return of the King used the theme from Requiem for a Dream. Now on a more important note, please tell me someone else here caught that the music for the Superman trailer was either ripped from or an arrangement of the music from Gandalf's death in Fellowship of the Ring. -
Ah, cool. I haven't been following this competition, so I didn't really read much through the tread and didn't know it was mentioned. Looking forward to it!Yes there will be, I mentioned a couple times that it will probably be up this weekend. It'll include a few bonus tracks, complete lyrics, and any fixed tags. -
Will there be a full release, i.e. a zip file with all the tracks numbered and tagged in an album?
-
Is it just me, or has PRC seen a lot of Jazz Jackrabbit tracks?
-
-
Yep, I Dreamt of a Man with Two Heads is in my collection.
-
I'd list all the tracks that I kept in my collection, but there are 81 of them, so that might be a bit excessive. A quick skim through the artists of those tracks, though, seems to indicate that I've got at least one track from each competitor in there. So great job, everyone!

May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your nether regions.Just posting to see how many people thought this thread being bumped was because the results were posted. Don't mind me -
In a surprise result that shocked all of the judges, I won the competition despite not having entered.
-
What about Sword Man?Being the DarkeSworde that he is, I'd gladly place a bet on his favorite robot master being Dark Man or Blade Man! -
Having now gotten through the whole thing, I can definitely say there was a lot more cool stuff on discs 3 and 4.
-
I hate to be the lone dissenting voice, but... I'm a bit disappointed. Mostly because such a large number of tracks so far (I'm about halfway through disc 2) all seem to be trance remixes. I guess I was just expecting a lot more variety in this album, especially since there's so much variety in the soundtrack.
-
So as someone who has no vested interest in the results apart from getting kickass music to add to my playlist... Darke, why did you choose the battle themes you did?
-
Yeah, seriously. The title is CLEARLY Ephemeric Seep.
-
I'm Brian and so's my wife!

Interesting how the last round favored a lot of the teams with fewer points, while the teams at the top had their lead drastically reduced.
-
So I'm starting to put together a Youtube playlist of tracks for this round, and a lot of the videos I used in my previous playlists have been removed due to copyright violations. Bleh.
-
Didn't DarkeSword say in the first post that he only planned on six rounds?
-
I present to you the Round 6 playlist:
-
I think the only one I'm missing from my playlist then is Dr. Light's Luminosity Legion.

Wow, I'm looking at the draft, and depending on how the coin flips go, someone might actually end up getting their FIFTH choice, because their second, third, and fourth are all someone else's first choice.
