  1. EDIT: Added SoundCloud link to the finished version. I've been on a Italo Disco binge and wanted to interpret a video game tune in that style. I chose Never More from Persona 4 because it's one of my favourite tracks ever. Basically I took the tune as is, rearranged it in Italo Disco style and used sounds from the 80's era: LinnDrum, Roland Juno, DX7 etc. It's still missing the outro and some production elements but as far as the arrangement and instrumentation goes I'm happy with it. I tried to steal as much inspiration as I could from classic tunes from bands like Modern Talking. Here's the original
  2. So I have completed a track I've been working on for quite a while now, called "Unalienable". It's sort of a philisophical pop song. I posted demos in the past, but now I'm calling it done. ============================================================ Listen here: https://dgrove.bandcamp.com/track/unalienable ============================================================ This is just one song of a larger concept album I'm working on on the subject of Natural Law (and I haven't a clue yet as to how I'm going to sell that!) If you like it, it's available for purchase for $1. Although, I'm *not* currently using a business account with PayPal, so I don't yet know how well my current account will hold up as far as receiving funds. So if you run into issues on your end, send me a message.
  3. It's a fairly polished demo: I started working on this song a couple years ago, but never finished it because I wasn't totally satisfied with the overall "sound". However, I got a StudioLive 24 Series III mixer with Studio One a couple months ago, along with a brand new computer that can handle more processing and memory. I decided it was time to return to this one and see what I could do with it. I dumped all the tracks off my MOXF6, redid the mix entirely, added several new layers, and recorded some vocals. I feel it's really coming together. It's sort of a pop/r&b tune with some synthwave influence. There are a few more things to do yet such as add vocals to the end of the song. I am also not satisfied with the saxophone solo, nor background vocals on the chorus parts. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to fix those backing vocals just yet. I'd love to hear opinions: what I did well, what I didn't do so well, how I can improve it, etc.
  4. Involution is a new release by Producer and Guitarist Alon Barak, also known as Ony Johnson. Ony. Johnson's music is a combination of retro synthwave and expermintal pop, with an edge of ambient melodies and explosive rhythms. 5. Hello fellow ReMixers and OCR Community! I am pleased to announce the release of my third album Validation Paradigm. Clocking in at just over an hour (16 tracks) my third album encompasses themes of self-awareness and self-improvement while musically it is inspired by 70s and 80s synthpop/rock, VGM and EDM. Listen/Buy Link: http://smarturl.it/validationparadigm Summary of the album's message: Validation should come from doing things that make the world a better place and which would in turn make you feel good about yourself and thus validated. We must always seek validation from ourselves first and then from others. This is the core principle of my third album Validation Paradigm. Because every track is devoid of lyrics each track title represents an action or a concept of Validation Paradigm’s core principle. After validating ourselves the validation from others must come through positive actions such as giving, supporting, understanding and appreciating. Let’s all accept and support each other’s unique individual identities. Validation is not about agreeing but about understanding. That’s all someone needs to be validated. Enjoy and Happy Holidays Everyone!
