Secret Agent Man
Is there a way to utilize FLAC audio files in FL Studio 7, or would it be better to just convert it to WAV format?
zircon
As far as I know, the latest version of FL7 does NOT support FLAC. So, you will have to convert to WAV. However, OGG/MP3 IS supported, so if you encode your WAVs to either of those formats at high bitrates, you'll save a lot of space and lose negligible quality. Jacian
Yeah, no FLAC as of yet. I usually keep mine in WAV format (though I have a huge media drive intended for video so even a gig of space for a dozen WAVs is fine with me). Though when I put it on my laptop it goes to .ogg (cause it's the best). A lot of sound FX off of the freesound project are in FLAC and so I have to use Audacity (the world's best free sound editor) to convert to wav or mp3 first. If you do need to convert a FLAC, use Audacity (just google it). ~jace
