djpretzel
Okay, I know that OCR has its fair share of FFVI ReMixes, but this one will hopefully offer something different. It's a concept/story piece called Take Back the Town!, which mixes the "Occupied Town" and "Town" themes from FFVI into a battle theme type piece. I wrote this mix from scratch in one day. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it. I'd like this creditted to DarkeSword. My email address is darkesword@exphyl.com, and my website is http://only.at/darkesword. DarkCecil13
The sample quality is mediocre, but I thoroughly enjoyed the arrangement. Hands down an excellently arranged ReMix. YES
Protricity
Too Short. Sounds good in some parts, but these kind of songs have to be longer, 1:43 is just.... lazy, sorry. I liked it, but It cant pass me as is. NO
m68030
A very cool arrangement yes indeed. I'm digging this 90%. That last 10% are the poor quality instruments being used. If this could be rendered using some nice quality samples and extended to at least the 2:50 mark this would be excellent ocremix material. Malcos
Well it's rather short. The arrangement is very good, although the sample quality is sadly below par. A longer resubmission with better instruments and I would give this a yes. As it stands, NO
Disco Dan
NO This version sounds WAY too muffled/watered down. To ME, anyway, it sounds like it could easily pass as the original game soundtrack. Timpani, snare, organ, horns and tubular bell. Classic FF ensemble. It just doesn't seem different enough. Actually I can't seem to find the original in the soundtrack anyway. But yeah, this sounds a bit too much exactly like the instrumentation from any given FF track. that and it's like "was a song just playing?" Too short.
