djpretzel
well, I know that this goes against most things I said in my posts criticising the judges forum, but It appears that a submission I made of a remix of Zora's Domain has "fallen through the cracks" Also, This is most definitely what I would imagine Protricity would say 'too much like the original' to, so...I'm not expecting a miracle. DarkCecil13
I've had this Starky ReMix forever. The strange thing is that I like it a whole bunch. I'm not the biggest fan of Starky's work, but this one shines. Sounds rad in my ears ^^ YES
Disco Dan
Where's the freakin BASS?!? There's no foundation in this mix. It sonically lacks that bit of foundation to inform the listener of what key you're in. Did you just forget to render the bass or was that intentional? Maybe you should add that. Also, the song seems to just repeat on and on, and then fade for a whole minute. NO D
Malcos
I like the percussion and the way everything else is done, but it's gets boring after a while. Whoa, erm, that fadeout takes way too long, it shouldn't take that long to fadeout! But a little more variation in this in terms of the piano parts, and shorten the fadeout time significantly. This mix has potential. NO
Protricity
Also, This is most definitely what I would imagine Protricity would say 'too much like the original' to, so...I'm not expecting a miracle. Never played 64 games, but if you are saying its too much like the original, then I'll just take your word for it. Anyway, This kind of song needs to break into some new patterns eventually. Break out with a new beat and go boom bang! for example. Otherwise its just too repetitive. There is the lack of bass as well. The drums never change, they just continue in the loop.. There are some chord structure problems - kinda like, lack of chords entirely. I know that there is some theory involved here, but it is so bare. Saunders
- Sounds like the original with new drums. - Repetitive, doesn't really go anywhere. - What's with the fade out? With my volume settings I ended up with like 20 seconds of silence on the end. Vote: No
