This is interesting... a Creative Commons licensed re-telling of the movie, with various artists redoing scenes in various media types. The trailer never stays still long enough for me to pass much judgment, but as something being released for free from the get-go you can bet your ass I'll check it out.

I just hope it's not a bad remake of sorts (The Ring vs Ringu); in this case will it being reanimated make it any better..?

The worst thing about the licensing of NOTLD is that its free domain. That means anyone can do just about anything with it, IE the horrible NOTLD 30th anniversary edition, and NOTLD 3D. So yeah, as long as this doesn't suck.

The project from what I saw is good. I was asked to animated a scene but with school and work I couldn't stay on the project.
