Zellfreid
So, bumping my 325/296 to like, 400/350 (random numbers that look good to me) wouldn't help or would just break my card? And what is this 5-5-5-15 and 3-3-4-12 nonsense I see everywhere? Is that something I can change or is it permanently set in the card? It's something about timing, no? Lower numbers are better? Curse my ignorance.
prophetik music
5-5-5-15 is a ram timing. wikipedia is your friend, man - if you'd just googled those numbers you'd have found information online about it.

Overclocking will make your game run a little smoother, but I don't think it's likely to solve your texture problem.

See, I've done plenty of that. I just can't grasp the concept, I guess. And the texture thing isn't a problem anymore.

Yeah, I don't understand timings completely myself, but yes, the lower the better. I believe you can tweak the timings if you're careful, but it seems a lot more difficult and risky than overclocking your CPU or graphics card. prophetik music
timing doesn't really matter all that much. pretty much, never touch it - ram's a lot more touchy than cpu or gpu overclocking.
