djpretzel
Well, it was pretty fun.... email sub TO ZANARKAND (M.A.E.L remix) fx.mp3 - djp HELLO, my name is Maël TEROL, I'm frensh and I send you my first remix. As the title tells you, this is the remix of ZANARKAND the main theme of Final Fantasy X that I consider to be the best episode for many reasons (but I won't go so far in details). What I would like you to understand is that it's my first remix, or at least it is the first time I try to remix something, but as you can notice, it doesn't really sounds like a real remix. It sounds more like to parts of a trancy release, cut by a midi file, but I have some problems with my soundcard and as result, I've made the music simply with MUSIC 2002 which is, after all, not so bad a software. I'm also sorry for the file's weight but I haven't manage to reduce the track's length more than that. One last thing is that I hope you will apreciate that first attempt to make a remix but I'll try to improve my remixing musics next time, this is only a first shot ! See you next time! m68030
Aside from the questionable grammer in the letter... I'm still trying to link up the piano part with the dance part other than a bass line... Is he saying this is a midi rip with his own stuff over it? Some neat dancy drum/bass stuff going on near the end, but that middle drum/bass/piano section makes me a little iffy feeling. I think the piano section in the middle which is basically flat out from the game kind of disqualifies this. NO
Malcos
Hmmmm, this would get a yes, but I swear that piano part in the middle was ripped. NO

Protricity
The piano is pretty much exactly the same as the original with a dance beat over it. This song loses its momentum completely when the piano comes in. None of the intro or outtro I can remember from the game. Either way, cant just use the piano melody with drums over it. Someone let me know if the rest of the song was from the game or not. NO
Vig
this is a really basic techno track. the first minute or so are boring and bear no resemblance to the original. then the EXACT piano from the OST comes in over a double-time beat. this just isnt impressive, and it may well be a rip.
